Case Report | Blue Bear Veterinary Clinic – Katy, TX
This past Saturday, an 11-year-old female Maltese-Poodle mix came to our clinic with symptoms of bloody urine, vomiting, and lethargy. Blood work revealed a significant increase in white blood cells, and radiographs confirmed the presence of bladder stones.

We performed an emergency cystotomy to successfully remove all the stones. She is now recovering well and is on a prescription urinary diet.
Results from her urinalysis, urine culture & sensitivity, and stone analysis are currently pending.

🚨 Emergency Case: Tom’s Story 🐾

This brave 1-year-old kitty, Tom, came to us at Blue Bear Vet Clinic in Katy, TX after his owner noticed he wasn’t eating and saw a string coming from his a**s. A radiograph revealed something shocking – a needle in his gastrointestinal tract! 😱

Thankfully, our team successfully removed it, and Tom is on the road to recovery. This is a reminder of the dangers pets can face if they accidentally swallow foreign objects.

🚨 **Feline Urinary Obstruction is an Emergency** 🚨

We recently treated Cooper, who was hospitalized due to a urinary obstruction. Thankfully, he’s now urinating and eating well. He is such a good boy and hopefully he doesn’t go through this again. 🐾

If you notice any signs of urinary obstruction in your cat, such as straining, frequent attempts to urinate, or not urinating at all, please contact a vet immediately. Not urinating for just a few days can be lethal.

🌧️ **Rescue Story at Blue Bear Veterinary Clinic** 🌧️

🐾 Jake was found by a very nice family by the side of the road on a rainy day. We suspected he got hit by a car and found pneumothorax with thoracic radiographs. Luckily, there were no major open wounds.

🩺 We performed a thoracocentesis to remove the air from his thoracic cavity, and he now sleeps well without any appetite issues. We are so happy that he recovered well with the love of his new family. 💙
