Lake maps may be the most customized item I make. Each one is truly unique. The entire design of the lake map is up to you. I am just here to guide you along every step of the way. We will work on several features of your lake map together until it is complete. This is not a one-size-fits-all process by any means.

Lake maps are 11" x 14".

You will need to choose your frame color. I currently offer black, mahogany, and walnut frames. Occasionally I do have limited stock of white frames.

Your map can have up to six depth layers if you choose. They can have depth markers engraved on them if you'd like. Islands, sand bars, and any other important lake feature also can be included.

Font type, size, and placement is customizable.

You can also choose to have roads, houses, cabins, lake data, symbols and/or pictures engraved on your map.

I take everything that we had discussed throughout this entire process and I make a digital, colored mock-up of your map. I then send you that image so you can see how everything looks together and if you want to make any changes before engraving.

I hope you can see that the possibilities are truly endless! It is always so much fun to work with everyone and see what design unfolds.

You may wonder what happens when laser engraving photos that have a lot of the color white in them, such as wedding photos. Surprisingly, wedding pictures with a lot of white in them from the dress, the veil, and flowers, turn out beautifully! I think it's a natural inclination to think that a burned image and white might not pair well together, but that is not the case at all. See for yourself.

Wow. It's amazing that this is just plain ol' WOOD. Stunning results for a "seemingly" simple photo. After all these years of engraving photos, I'm still amazed by how well pictures engrave on the wood and yet you can still see some fine lines of the wood grain in the background.
