Bay County Pet Cemetery

Bay County Pet Cemetery We are a small group of dedicated volunteers working together to clean up the cemetery and to maintain it for others' enjoyment. Want to help out? Thank you!!

Contact Jim for any burial, volunteer or maintenance questions (989-245-0376). A small volunteer group interested in maintaining the Bay County Pet Cemetery. Jim and Fred are the primary caretakers that do all the mowing and are looking for helpers to come weedwack 1 foot around each cemetary marker. Looking for a way to help out in your community? The cemetery is open to anyone to go any day. Cli

ppers, weedwackers, and work gloves go a long way! Interested in burying your pet there? Reach out to the messaging app for more information and guidance from Jim, a friendly and insightful neighbor. Just note that the cemetery has been used for multiple decades so you may come upon an old grave (respectfully re-inter any animals found). All animals must be buried at 40 inches deep and the roots are difficult to get through. Any animals not buried in this manner may be dug up by wild animals or become exposed following heavy rains. So please, come prepared!

Ok Bay County Pet Cemetery Followers!!! I have asked and have tried to be courteous in doing so, but I am going to tell you for the last time that this property is not your LOCAL DUMP!! I have other pictures of this car and these two individuals dumping something in that tree. I will find out what it is and I will check the other cameras for better description of the car and I’m going to tell you all right now if I hear of anybody else or see anybody else doing this, I will pick up the debris, Bring it to your house and dump it on your front porch. People are working hard to try and keep this place as presentable as possible and with the weather being as scattered as it is, it is quite difficult for just a couple of us to keep it maintained. If this does not stop happening and it continues because some people don’t care, I will begin the process of taking the proper steps to have the cemetery closed off so that no one can get into it because we all have enough of our own things to do, especially my neighbor and myself when I can, who try to keep it cut for you people to come in and observe the animals that you have possibly buried in the past and look at some of the history dating Back to the early 1900s. WE DON’T HAVE TIME TO CLEAN UP after you because you have NO compassion for others. I am sorry to have to be this way, but it is disgusting for anyone to have to go clean up other people’s messes and it also breaks my heart that I have to inform people that they are no longer allowed to bury in the cemetery. I can eliminate this problem for myself and the others who spend time out here, trying to keep it presentable . Personally, I can just putt up an 8 foot tall privacy fence so I don’t have to look at it. Those of you that come in there and do this are a disgrace and disgusting because there are some people that do care about the property, that have come out and spend time helping to restore some history of Bay County that many people do not even know about. For those people who do care, I TRULY THANK YOU again for all that you have done and are doing to help Keep the cemetery presentable. It will end up being heartbreaking to the families and people that it means something to because it will not be taken care of like we are trying to do.

Ok People, I do not know How Much Clearer I can make this!! The PET CEMETERY IS NOT A DUMP!! Also there are NOT any more Burials ALLOWED on the property!! This is NOT my doing or decision. This comes from a MUCH HIGHER AUTHORITY!! We are trying to make it a PEACEFUL, CLEAN and RESPECTFUL place for people to admire, but those of you that dump your trash and leave a Mess when you come here are making this a Kick in the face to those who are devoting their time, effort and resources to make this a place to visit and enjoy the History of the Cemetery.

ATTENTION!!!

We are NOT ALLOWING BURIALS at this time!!
Sorry for the inconvenience and PLEASE follow the rules. This could possibly result in fines and I will not be responsible.

I’m not sure who the person was in the cemetery this morning at 3:50 AM, but you obviously didn’t belong being there because when I turned my lights on and went outside, you took off and drove over a bunch of graves to get out of there. For those of us that have been working diligently to make this cemetery presentable for people to revisit their pets and others to experience it, people like you are not welcome to be there. If you can’t enjoy it during the daytime or early evening, we would appreciate it if you would not come in the middle of the night.
