Bay County, Pet Cemetery Followers:

One week from today, Monday September 29 through Saturday, October 4. The Humane Society of Bay County is organizing a cleanup and they are looking for volunteers to come out and help. They will be at the cemetery from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM and hours on Saturday are open Anytime during the day light hours. If you are unable to make it during the day and would like to come out in the evening as long as the daylight is available feel free but please contact myself Jim, 989-245-0376 before doing so, just so I can explain to you what we are trying to accomplish. Thank you so much to any and all that are able and willing to help with this project. We have made some improvements this summer, but we still have a long way to go and the goal is to try and have it completed before the weather gets too bad this fall.

Hello Pet Cemetery Followers!!!

Two others and Myself worked in the cemetery this morning for about 2-2 1/2 hours and moved all the existing piles of brush to the front and cleaned half of one fence line. We could still use help before Winter so if you’re interested and have questions, feel free to contact me 989-245-0376.

Bay County Pet Cemetery Followers

Although I have not been personally contacted, it has been brought to my attention that burials are to stop at this time. I will post something on this matter as soon as I get confirmation. I have reached out to get this explained to me but have not had my calls returned.

On a lighter note, there have been a couple of people who have been doing a great job helping out with w**d whacking and piling brush and limbs. We can still use more help so that the cemetery is prepared for Winter to make the Spring clean less of a burden. I have secured a couple local businesses to donate some time to help with improvements going forward but one project that requires physical labor is moving all the brush to the front gate area (West end) of the cemetery and finish trimming trees and fence lines.

If you are interested please contact me (989-245-0376) or stop by if you see me working in my yard, I live in the house next to the East end of the cemetery (back or rear of the cemetery).

I am looking for some volunteer people to come to the Pet Cemetery and get some w**d whacking done around the trees and headstones and along the fence lines. I am also looking for people to pull limbs and branches and sticks out along the edge of the driveway so that I can get a wood chipper in there and get it cleaned up. Thank you.
