Are you aware we have a state of the art underwater treadmill? We are the only location with this resource in the area!

🐾The dog in the photo below, Kiara, was born with an incongruency in her elbow joints, resulting in elbow dysplasia. She began showing clinical signs such as pain, inflammation, and limping at the age of 3. We have seen great results from weekly hydrotherapy sessions in combination with other treatments.

Please call for more information and to set up an appointment if you have an animal that can benefit from this service.

Hydrotherapy (or aquatic therapy) utilizes the therapeutic properties of water to relieve pain, offload painful joints, and provide resistance during therapeutic exercise—utilizing the buoyancy of water. If your dog is in need of low-impact exercise or is recovering from an injury or surgery, hydrotherapy (aquatic therapy) may be the ideal way for your pup to have fun while working out.

What conditions can aquatic therapy help treat?

🐾Aquatic therapy is beneficial for:

Post-operative recovery from orthopedic procedures
Dogs with neurological conditions
Pets suffering from painful osteoarthritis
Dogs dealing with pain due to hip dysplasia
Metabolic conditions such as Cushing’s and diabetes which can result in muscle atrophy
Paralyzed dogs
Helping overweight pets get the exercise they need to lose weight — dogs AND cats!
Aquatic therapy can also be used as a training tool to help working dogs reach optimal fitness levels.

Juniper the Bunny is our special guest on this weeks episode of Pet Doc!

Juniper dislocated her elbow and had a wrist injury when she was 8-10 weeks old and is now thriving! She is going to her forever home today!

Today, on what would have been his birthday, we pause to honor and celebrate the life of Dr. Roger J. Neil, DVM—a man who not only built the foundation of our veterinary hospital but also left an indelible mark on everyone who had the privilege to know him.

Dr. Neil wasn’t just a great veterinarian; he was an incredible human being. He had an unmatched ability to connect with people, making every client and patient feel truly cared for. He often said that anyone can practice great medicine, but the way you communicate and show genuine care is what sets you apart—and he lived by that principle every single day.

Beyond his veterinary excellence, Dr. Neil had a sharp business mind and a knack for telling a joke just when it was needed most. His humor and warmth made him one of my favorite people on this earth, and I know many of you would agree.

We miss him deeply, but his legacy lives on in the way we care for pets and their families, just as he taught us. Today, we remember him with gratitude, laughter, and love.

Happy Birthday, Dr. Neil. Thank you for everything. ❤️
