Happy 7️⃣th anniversary to TKDW!!

When I started the company, I could have never ever dreamed of where we are today… I mean literally, I cannot believe I get to spend my days walking dogs on the beach for a living.
•
I am beyond blessed to have the most incredible team who care for the dogs and cats every single day, and the most amazing clients that support us and allow for us to care for their most precious family members.
•
I truly am living the dream every single day… And I am so grateful for the life that I have been blessed with. God willing this is just the beginning for all of us 🤍
•
Happy anniversary to us and thank you to everyone who has made this company what it is today.

Please join me and for our Thanksgiving photoshoot next Sunday, November 24 from 11a-1p at my house.

Dogs and cats will be let in one at a time so all are welcome to attend, even if your baby isn’t social with others. Just send me a message when you’re outside and I’ll let you know when to come in.

Happy Veterans Day: Meet Smoky, The tiniest war hero and first therapy dog
•
Smoky is the most famous dog of WWII, a four-pound Yorkshire terrier. She was found in an abandoned foxhole in the jungles of New Guinea by a soldier and came to be owned and trained by William A. Wynne, a photo specialist in the Army Air Corps.
•
Smoky joined the ranks of “war dog hero” She survived 150 air raids on New Guinea and made it through a typhoon at Okinawa. She even parachuted from 30 feet in the air, out of a tree, using a parachute made just for her. She managed to save Wynne and eight of his men of incoming shells on the transport ship. Also, she was given the assignment to help string communication lines through a 70-foot culvert between outposts in the Philippines enabling vital communications lines to be run under newly captured air taxiways, thus saving the many war planes stationed there from exposure to enemy fire and near-certain destruction.
•
Smoky become part of the 5th Air Force and was credited with twelve combat missions and awarded eight battle stars. She also visited sick and wounded soldiers in the hospital, helping raise their spirits as they recovered and making her the first therapy dog
•
Smoky was more than a dog; she was a dedicated soldier, the first therapy dog, a morale booster for injured soldiers, entertainer and what is most important she was a hell of a friend.
•
There is a monument in Lakewood, Ohio dedicated to her bravery
