We’ve got 8 puppies that were born on November 5, 2024. Their mother had either been lost or abandoned and decided to have her litter on a coffee farm in South Kona. After weaning, the pups began to wander around the property, so the residents decided to take them in and foster them until they find their “fur-ever” home!🏡 🎉

New Year's celebrations are fabulous for us as we get to witness the magical firework. But sadly, it's not the same story for our pets. If you are a pet owner, then you probably know that exposing your pets to fireworks can be dangerous for them. From violent shaking to excessive barking to hiding under the sofas or running out of the window, fireworks are extremely unpleasant for pets. However, if you are new at this, then here are some tips that will help you keep your pets safe during fireworks.

1. Make sure you have your pets collar updated.
2. Go for a walk before fireworks begin.
3. Close all doors and windows to dull the sound, and keep the curtains closed, investing in winter-weight ones if you can afford to. Have the radio or TV on to help detract from the noise outside.
4. To prevent bolting, secure your pet behind a closed door before opening the front door if someone calls round. The flight instinct will be strong, so keep your pet safely in another room.
5. Play with your pet and provide treats to distract and keep them calmer.
6. Follow your pet's lead, and let them go where they feel safe and comfortable.

We are setting up a donation fund to honor Mazes memory as we continue to rescue and rehome dogs in our community. We will be accepting any donation through via Venmo 💙
