Alpaca Alternative products are an eco-friendly alternative to items that you use on a regular basis. You may be wondering what this has to do with alpaca products. The answer to your question is everything!

Alpaca fiber is an environmentally friendly fiber.

So what if we used it to make household items? We’re one step ahead of you. At our farm we make and sell dryer balls, felted soap, and shoe inserts among many other things!

What are they really made of?

Alpaca dryer balls? Alpaca soap? Alpaca shoe inserts? It sounds like a good idea but what are they really made out of? We’re here to tell you!

Our dryer balls are made on our farm with our own alpaca fiber. Made from 100% alpaca in all natural colors - they will last you for years.

For our felted soap we use our own 100% alpaca fiber and felt it onto natural soaps. It's free of alcohols, detergents and harsh chemicals.

Our shoe inserts are made of 100% alpaca fiber with a natural burlap center to add stability and provide both warmth and comfort.

Why should I use them?

Alpaca Alternative products are not only better for the environment, but can also make your life easier. Using dryer balls instead of dryer sheets saves money in the long run because they can be used more than just once. Using felted soap instead of regular soap saves you money because the fiber wrapped around the soap makes the soap lasts longer than a regular bar of soap. The fiber also makes the soap easier to grip and hold onto in the shower. Shoe inserts can be used repeatedly and can add another layer of warmth as well as extra cushion for your feet.

Alpaca Alternative products are better for the environment, make your life easier, and can also save you money in the long run. At Alpaca Key Farm, we make our products from our own alpacas and ensure that they are made to last for many years to come. Alpaca fiber is eco-friendly and non allergenic making it the perfect alternative for everyday household items.

Hey Everyone! Unfortunately we are feeling under the weather here - being in the cold preparing the barns for the cold has finally caught up with us.

Unfortunately we will NOT be able to attend the Greensburg night Market Thursday December 12th.

I’m personally heartbroken as the December event is by far my favorite- I just love the festive atmosphere & Christmas spirit. I’m sorry to anyone who was hoping to see us there.

In the meantime - we still have 2 more local events this weekend - the first with Hello Handmade Pa at Red Barn Winery in Delmont and the second on Sunday with Girl Gang Events at Crooked Creek Distillery - so we hope to see you this weekend.

If you’d prefer to purchase a gift sooner - we have a sale in our Etsy store through Friday at AlpacaKeyFarm.Etsy.com - and I usually ship same day so it’ll arrive in time for Christmas!

We don’t have a store here at the farm - but I do offer local pickup by appointment- just send me a message to make arrangements to stop by!
