I got the DNA's back on the baby Lovebirds, 1 girl & 2 boys. They are still being hand fed. They have so much energy for about 10 minutes then they fall asleep.
I love playing with the babies. 🥰🥰🥰

Some of my Quail love tapping different things in their walk in flight cage. They tap on wood or metal things to make sounds. So I thought I would bump up the fun music and went out and got them their own Xylophone. I removed the play hammer and string. I'll let you know if they love it or not.

This adorable baby Diamond Dove just got a leg band. So tiny.

3 baby Lovebirds got a larger cage today with lots of toys. Their DNAs is pending. Still being hand fed. 😍😍😍

Eli came out yesterday and volunteered to help me around the aviary. He helped me feed and water the birds and did some cage cleaning.

Eli has 2 parakeets he has been working with on doing some tricks. He told me they have learned to play basketball.

When he asked me if he could hold Charlie and Ruby I said yes. Eli would have to use his big arm muscles to support their weight. LOL 😂😅
He had fun handling some of the birds including the 3 baby Lovebirds.
It was a fun day in the aviary. 😊

Today Greg and Lori came out to visit and see Baby our adult Congo African Grey. 🥰

They have a few birds they got from me a while ago. One was a Congo African Grey names Apollo. Apollo fell in love with Lori and as much as Greg wanted a Grey for himself Apollo wasn't going to be the one.

Baby has not been handled in a very long time and I was nervous having Greg hold her. I stepped her up on a stick at first and handed the stick with Baby to Greg.

Baby then stepped up on his hand and held her head down asking him to pet her head and he did. I was pleasantly surprised that Baby picked Greg. The two of them hit it off. It was a beautiful thing to see.

I'm so very happy that Baby is going home with Lori and Greg. She will be spoiled at her new home. Thank you for your support and loving birds. As always please send me updates as you have been. Have a great day and Happy New Year 🥳🥳

Life is full of ups and downs, finding the silver lining can make everything ok.
Smokey my English Budgie is my silver lining. He can make all the hard things go away for a little while. Love Love Love this little sole.

Mom and dad can see me hand feeding their babies. So after the babies had breakfast I put them in with mom and dad for a short visit. That way they know their babies are ok and they can visit them for a little bit.

Baby Lovebirds, I'm just starting to hand feed them. They got their leg band numbers today.

Yesterday we were lucky enough to see hundreds of Canada Goose-Geese flying over. It was truly amazing.

The American Kestrel, also called the sparrow hawk, was sitting on our weather station this morning.
Also we saw 7 Mule Deer passing through the fields this morning. It's been a beautiful morning.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of meeting Linda. She took home a singing canary that I raised. Her canary is 15 years old and wanted to get a second singing canary for company in a different cage.

I mix my own seed pellet mix, it can be picked up or shipped to your home. I mix the food fresh when you order it. To place your order on the website www.AndersenAviary.com I will ship the food the next business day.

I’ve been running my aviary by myself since 2004. I’ve made improvements along the way. I am only breeding my birds once a year. My goal is to have the weaned babies available between late winter - early springtime.

I enjoy posting updates and pictures of all the babies I am raising. I know you enjoy watching the babies grow into beautiful weaned birds. I’m asked how can I get a weaned baby bird?

I will post a 24 hour notice when I will be setting up appointments for a weaned baby to go home. Wait till that time to send me a private message or email me, ONLY. ([email protected]) for an appointment. It has to be time stamped. I will respond back to you in the order I received the request. All confirmed appointments will get a confirmation reply back with the appointment date and time.

To show my appreciation to all my friends who purchased and support my Aviary:

As a Top Supporter, you may have first pick. Must contact me when a baby is weaned, on that day you have from 12:00am-11:59am to send me a request for an appointment.

**Top Supporter** is someone who got a bird/s from me and is continuing to feed my food mix.

As a Supporter you may have second pick. Must contact me when a baby is weaned, on that day you have from 12:00pm-11:59pm to send me a request for an appointment.

**A Supporter** is someone who only got a bird/s from my aviary or someone who only buys my food mix on a regulator basis, more than once or twice.

All the Future Supporters I am looking forward to meeting you soon. When you see the posting the day after I will post what babies are available for an appointment. Please contact me as early as possible to set up an appointment for your new baby bird. For all the early birds :-) I will reply later in the morning in the order I get your request.
