Dr. Rebecca McConnico
Dr. McConnico is a professor and veterinarian with the School of Agricultural Sciences and Forestry at Louisiana Tech University and is an ACVIM board certified specialist. She received her BS in Animal Science from the University of Arkansas, DVM from Louisiana State University, and PhD and clinical residency training from North Carolina State University. She worked as primary and specialty equine and large animal internal medicine clinician with Oklahoma State University (4 yrs.) and Louisiana State University (18 yrs) teaching hospitals. Her clinical interests include infectious diseases and biosecurity, equine and large animal internal medicine, disaster medicine, wellness/welfare, and integrative therapies. Dr. McConnico is the founding Director of the LSU-School of Veterinary Medicineās Veterinary Disaster Response and Training Program (2004-17). [McConnico is a member of the following professional organizations: LVMA, AAEP, AVMA, ACVIM (LA).]
