Last Koi order for the season due in Friday. We'll have 5-9" Standard and Butterfly, as well as 8" Shubunkins. Big plant restock tomorrow also.

Our Discus tank is getting professionally aquascaped by Dallas Aquascaping Guy on Saturday! We are also hosting DFW Aquatic Plant Club on September 7th for a plant swap. Bring trimmings of your current plants and swap out with other members for free!

Fall store hours go into effect on September 1st.

Starting next week, out shrimp revamp will be ready. We will have 12 colors! We also have a MAMMOTH fish order on Wednesday. Tons of new species and things we've never carried as well as restocking the basics. Our plant racks have been restocked as well. 95% of our plants are grown submerged which dramatically reduces plant melt. We're also increasing on Betta numbers to 24 from 12.

On September 7th, we will be hosting the DFW Aquatic Plant Club for their quarterly meet. Lots of trimmings to be exchanged and/or sold. We are also having the team from Dallas Aquascaping Guy custom build out our Discus tank.

Saltwater fish and inverts are on the menu for next week's order. We do full quarantines for salt fish, so if you would like us to add something to our order, please let us know!

We also will have another 6-8 box freshwater order as well. We've already sold over 60% of the last batch of fish that came out of quarantine in 48 hours.

We're expanding our freshwater shrimp collection to more than 12 different types of shrimp. We also have plans to expand our betta racks.

We have 800 small and nano fish coming out of our quarantine. We also have about 65 purple moscow guppies about to be ready. This week is Discus and a lot of odd ball fish.

We have decided to change to an even more aggressive quarantine for all our animals. While our previous methods have been highly effective, we've decided to add another layer/medication into our protocols to catch every possible disease. We also do our own quarantine for saltwater fish for 28 days. The idea of causing a velvet, ich, or brook outbreak in someone's personal reef tank is not something we ever want to do, even if it slows down the process of getting these animals to the floor.

We've also decided to purchase most of our plants from a nursery that grows them submerged. Previously, most of our plants have came emerged, which can potentially cause a lot of plant melt as it sheds leaves to grow underwater. This should reduce the amount of plant melt you experience when planted in your aquarium.

We've had 16 boxes of fish come in over the last 2 weeks (and sold). We are also expanding our saltwater fish dramatically over the next month. Every freshwater fish goes through a rigourous quarantine for 7 days, and our saltwater fish go through a 28 day one. This has made our SW inventory extremely low as these fish sell quickly once released so we need to increase our inventory. We are also revamping our coral racks.

A 125 gallon serviced and cleaned for a customer. One of many! We fully service aquariums and terrariums and move tanks from one house to another. We also build, deliver and install any size tank imaginable.

We have 12 Axos (2 adults) that are looking for homes. Care requirements are not difficult! You don't even need chillers with our way of cooling tanks. There's even a mated pair if you want 1000 Axolotls. These are priced at $50 for sub adults and we've marked down the adults 50%.

We have hundreds of shrimps coming in along with one of the biggest fish orders this year, with a live daphnia culture we've started. We are also going to be carrying 8 different isopods to go with springtail cultures for bio active enclosures and displaying a new 5x2x2 enclosure that's now available to us. It is VERY nice for those that have bigger reptiles at a price point that is also great.

Our saltwater quarantine is almost over as well!

Our NEW store hours for the summer (ends September 1st) go into effect next week. We will be closed 3-31 through 4-2 for what is probably our only "vacation" for the foreseeable future.

Bringing in A TON of uncommon cichlids. From 10" Red Pike, short body Green Terrors (and regular), Super Red Gold Severums, 8" Frontosas, 6" Black Calvus, 6" Tropheus, tons of hi color, all male African hybrids, and unique never carried in the store tetras. These are just some of the new items coming into quarantine late this week.

We're also coming up on our 1 year anniversary. We will be doing in store promos to those who have been a part of loyalty program and a raffle for a couple of our AIO tanks. We appreciate everyone who has helped us grow during a fun first year. Business is good, but we have lots of plans.

Due to the road closures around our store, we are adjusting store hours. We will be opening on Sundays from 12-6pm, and closed on Monday and Tuesday. All other days will be the same.

We felt it necessary to open on both weekend days to provide better options for customers who may not get a chance to visit us on Saturday. When the roadwork for 2024 on Keller Hicks Rd is completed we will resume our normal hours.

This a customer of ours 65 gallon setup that we installed and escaped out. Whether you need regular maintenance or a one time build out, we can do it.

Also, we have a road closure for the next 6 months on Keller Hicks Rd. This road is accessible up to Woodland Springs from the west side from Beach St/Alta Vista.

Very good week last week! Reminder: We are closed today on the 26th. We have probably our biggest fish order ever in, as we sold over 600+ fish last week alone.
