It's always great when we get a chance to take one or more of our snakes into a school. Today King Louie went to Canyon Elementary School. He won over a few adults who thought snakes were creepy or scary, and a few kids really loved him.

We gained a new family member last night! We would like to introduce Eris. Eris is a pewter (cinnamon pastel) ball python. We got her from our good friends at Scales Family. She has given them some big & amazing clutches of babies. We are excited to breed her with our Cadmus next season.
Story behind her name: Most of our snakes have Greek Mythology names & yesterday was our brother Eric's birthday so we found the closest Greek Mythology name to his which is Eris.

With interest in our babies suddenly happening, though we should take some new pics of them. Dark female baby is currently in blue & my phone camera can not capture the coloring of the banana males.

The noodles all visited Pinehurst Elementary School tonight for their science night. To say they were a hit may be an understatement! 😁
They all behaved really well, even the babies, but I think they are all ready to not be touched for a few days. Thank you everyone who came to visit us!!

Our babies have had their first shed, moved into their own separate enclosures & were scared of food the first time we offered it.

It's been a bit since we have weighed our noodles so here is an update on them. Hopefully in the next couple weeks we will also have baby noodles to share with you all!!!

Got the incubator all regulated again so was able to take the eggs from momma. We now have 6 beautiful eggs that should hatch the first part of August!!
Persephone got a nice bath, a total house cleaning & some cuddles. Good job Persephone!!!!

Happy Spring!!! Things have been a bit busy around here so we haven't weighed in a few months but all our snakes are doing really well. We have been putting King Louie and Persephone together every few weeks just to see if we could get eggs this year. Our plan is to really try for babies till next year and really growing our collection. 🤞🤞🤞

We had some gains but we also had some loss this last month. King Louie is on a hunger strike so he lost 49 grams. Persephone also lost 56 grams. The other 3 gained which of course makes us happy!

Persephone joined our family today!!! She is a specter & already has follicles so will be ready to breed soon as she settles in.
Sticking with our mythology names, Persephone is the daughter of Zeus. She is the goddess of regrowth and the embodiment of spring and vegetation.
Welcome to our family Persephone! Can't wait for King Louie to meet you. 😉😉

Weighed our noodles tonight!!! King Louie (lovingly called Louis P. Wigglesworth) gained 51 grams. Athena, our goddess with such amazing pattern, gained 111 grams!!!! Felicity, our ball, gained 56 grams. Last but not least is Baby Cadmus who gained 43 grams. Our girls definitely won't make breeding weight by this breeding season but that is ok. It gives us more time to prepare.

Our daughter expanded our noodle collection by getting a western hognose that she named Archimedes. He is a bit of a spicy noodle but he is slowly getting used to her. Though Archimedes & Merlin Dangernoodle don't live in our house, they are still a big part of our BigFoot Ballz family!
