Grace getting some turn out time with her Hannibal Lector mask. LOL!!! She is insulin resistant and can’t eat any of what little grass we have left… her hooves seem to be doing better and she is now off all medications and her IR is being controlled by her diet…strictly alfalfa hay and alfalfa pellets only..hopefully she continues to stay pain free….

Horses just know when the littles are walking them to take it easy. Leoti and Dreamer let Bryson and Brock walk them down to get ready for a ride. All did an amazing job!!

Update on Grace…in June, Grace was diagnosed with Insulin Resistance and possibly Equine Metabolic Disorder and Cushings…she has been on stall rest, was treated with soft ride boots for 3 months, transitioned out to bare feet, given a regime of Thyroid-L that she has been weening off of and she in on her last week of. We are starting to reintroduce her into light training which includes long walks, dry lot turn out, tie up time and as you can see in the video…today she was reintroduced to a light synthetic saddle and a short session of being ponied. I am starting to get hopeful for her future 😎

Let me get your horses in shape for spring and summer riding ❤️ I have 15+ years of riding experience, primarily trail and barrel racing, c**t starting and some roping as well. I can put miles on them, put a nice barrel pattern on them or just keep them in shape for you. I’ve worked for larger outfits in Idaho, California and Stephenville Tx. I offer a free consultation to discuss your training goals and build a customized plan for each horse based on their current level and your goals. Horses are kept in covered runs and are fed coastal and grain, and I can feed any supplements or medications you provide as well. My fees include board, feed, and turn out along with 3-6 days of riding/training per week, weather permitting. Our facilities include several acres of fenced trails, round pen, arena, barrels, poles and various obstacles.
