This F2b Bernedoodle perfectly marked tri-color girl is looking for her perfect home.

This little gal is the last left from this litter. She is super sweet and snuggly, she loves to play for a bit, then plops down nearby for a good snooze.
She is currently being crate trained and working on basic manners and commands.
This sweet girl will have a wavy curl to her coat. Message for more info! 🙂

It was a beautiful night to remember!
A member from the Epilepsy Foundation Central & South Texas asked if we would be willing to donate a gift card for one of our puppies for their Gala Fundraiser. We were more than ecstatic to be involved, of course! Last night we attended the Gala with Xander, our Bernedoodle stud.
Xander, as always, was a wonderful representation of what we strive for with our dogs. Despite the number of people, the noise, and bustle of activities, he remained friendly, composed, and greeted everyone with manners when offered.
The foundation was able to meet their goal of raising $100,000 last night, and I’m proud to say the bid on the gift card was highest bid of the night (if I’m not mistaken).
The funds will go towards so many things, one of those being different needs for their epilepsy summer camp, giving kiddos with epilepsy the opportunity and ability to enjoy activities that they normally wouldn’t be able to do, all while under the careful watchful eyes of doctors and techs familiar with their needs. So very awesome, indeed!

Thank you again to everyone who put this on, to those who shared their stories, for the invitation to come out and be involved in your passion and cause. and for doing all that you do for those in need! Keep it going. There’s definitely a difference being made here. ❤️

It’s Kit’s last F1B Bernedoodle Puppy!

Black and White, Female, DOB Jun 1, 2022. Xander x Kit
Hi! I think I am the cutest, loveable, most playful little pup. I am confident in all the right ways and calm and content to relax in all the best ways. 3 of my littermates went into Service Dog programs and my super cool brother just started a new career in Therapy and Emotional Support at an elementary school. My mom says I’m the best girl for a pet home where a family will love me, and walk me, and cuddle me… I think that sounds pretty great! In fact, I can’t wait!
I’m great on the grooming table and always impress everyone with my manners. Mom says my coat is wavy, slightly curly… kinda like my dad. The nice lady at The Good Doodle says I should be pretty low shedding... whatever that means. Would you like to be my new family? I’m feeling a little lonely with my siblings gone and my mom says it’s time to grow up now.

Kit’s babies are ready to go and as cute as can be! We have two girls and a boy left for the right homes! It’s taking everything in me not to keep back the Silver girl… so if someone could go ahead and give her a home, that’d be great, mm’kay? Thanks. 😂❤️

But seriously. These guys are the sweetest. Two of the brothers will be going to the service dog organization that we donate to. I’m so excited to follow their progress there. ❤️❤️

Videos to follow. Facebook/Insta won’t let me put them in the same post.

Sage’s Pink girl is the last one left from her litter!

This little girl is as middle ground as the come. She loves to be around us and follow us through the house without being under foot. She’s happy to go outside to play and comes back in and chills out nearby. She’s good with being held and carried around, but doesn’t demand to be snuggled.

Pinky-girl is quiet and and sweet. She will be on the small side for a standard (considered a “petite” standard). I’d be surprised if she gets to be more than 45lbs at most.

She’s learning fast on housebreaking and doing well in a crate.

She would do well in just about any kind of home, honestly.

Pink is a tricolor and will have a wonderfully curly coat!

This is why I leave dews on. In the long run, it is best for the dog. Ease of grooming is no reason to remove them, in my opinion.

Do the Dew(claws)? M. Christine Zink DVM, PhD, DACVSMR I am a vet that works exclusively with performance dogs, developing rehabilitation programs for injured dogs or dogs that have had surgery as a result of performance-related injuries. I have seen many dogs now, especially field trial/hunt test and agility dogs, that have had chronic carpal arthritis, frequently so severe that they have to be retired or at least carefully managed for the rest of their careers. Of the over 30 dogs I have seen with carpal arthritis, only one has had dewclaws. The others have all had them removed. If you look at an anatomy book (Miller’s Guide to the Anatomy of Dogs is an excellent one – see figure below) you will see that there are 5 tendons attached to the dewclaw. Of course, at the other end of a tendon is a muscle, and that means that if you cut off the dew claws, there are 5 muscle bundles that will become atrophied from disuse. Those muscles indicate that the dewclaws have a function. That function is to prevent torque on the leg. Each time the foot lands on the ground, particularly when the dog is cantering or galloping, the dewclaw is in touch with the ground. If the dog then needs to turn, the dewclaw digs into the ground to support the lower leg and prevent torque. If the dog doesn’t have a dewclaw, the leg twists. A lifetime of that and the result can be carpal arthritis. Remember: the dog is doing the activity regardless, and the pressures on the leg have to go somewhere. They can be absorbed by the dewclaw, or they will move up and down the leg to the toes, carpus, elbow, and shoulders. Perhaps you are thinking, “I never have had one of my dogs have carpal pain or arthritis.” Well, we need to remember that dogs, by their very nature, do not tell us about mild to moderate pain. If a dog was to be asked by an emergency room nurse to give the level of his pain on a scale from 0 to 10, with 10 being the worst, their scale would be 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10. Most of our dogs, especially if they deal with pain that is of gradual onset, just deal with it and don’t complain unless it is excruciating. But when I palpate the carpal joints of older dogs without dewclaws, I almost always elicit pain with relatively minimal manipulation. As to the possibility of injuries to dew claws. Most veterinarians will say that such injuries actually are not very common at all. And if they do occur, then they are dealt with like any other injury. In my opinion, it is far better to deal with an injury than to cut the dew claws off of all dogs “just in case.” Anatomical diagram viewing the medial side of a dog’s left front leg demonstrating the five tendons that attach to the dewclaw.

We have two pups left in our Sage x Xander litter of F1b Bernedoodles! We just did the litter eval yesterday and finished puppy picks for our folks with deposits! Pups are ready to go as early as this Wednesday.

Yellow is a super sweet and loving girl with a great even temperament. She is confident, not easily startled and happy to spend her time with you without being super clingy. She has a wonderfully curly coat. This gal is absolutely a snuggler and will sit in you or your kid's lap happily. She is a tri-color but does not have the typical Bernese blaze. I have videos of their litter eval, if you'd like more info please email me!

Silver is an awesome girl with a mind of her own. She is far from clingy and is happy to go about and do her own thing. This gal is happy to come and get some love and then makes her way to whatever is next. She has a great on and off button and is happy to just go lay somewhere nearby. Great with kiddos but don't expect her to be an in your face cuddler. Wonderfully curly coat. Beautiful black and white with wonderful Bernese-type white markings.

Happy birthday to Annie’s Summer 2021 Litter! Liberty got to celebrate her birthday with a relaxing bath (a groom tomorrow!) and a trip to the pet store to pick out all of her favorite things. She picked out a couple squeaky toys, some hoof chews, and a couple chew sticks. Oh! And a birthday cookie!
Happy one year to one of my favorite litters! (I may be a bit biased thanks to my Libby. 😉)

Check out Barli! This was Bailey’s Pink Girl. We donated her to Liberty For All, Service Dogs and she was quickly matched with a handler to begin her training to become a Service Dog for him. We’re super excited that another one of our pups will be out there doing great things. ❤️

If you’d like to donate towards a great cause, please consider donating to Liberty For All. They are a non-profit and doing all of this for people at no cost to the handlers. All dogs, training, follow-ups, etc are completely free to the handler, but does cost the organization. Any amount helps tremendously!

F1b Bernedoodle from Koda and Xander! Born February 2, 2022.

Here is Koda's little boy. This is the first time I am posting him and I expect him to go fast. He is a beautiful brindle F1b Bernedoodle. A color you don't see too often. This guy is the household favorite and if we could keep another male we would definitely keep him. He is such a happy guy and super even keeled. He absolutely loves everyone and is happy to be involved in whatever we do. He does great just chilling out when it's time to relax as well. He loves the kids and is my son's current favorite. We notice any time that my son picks a favorite, that puppy turns out to be bombproof. Our son has some sensory issues and tends to cling to certain babies. Those guys seem to do great in homes with kiddos that have special needs.
He will definitely have a nice curly coat. He should be low shedding. This gentleman would do great in just about any kind of home.

I feel like this is a really important topic to discuss— puppy picking and why I do things the way I do. This video talks about that.
I think it’s important to wait until you have an idea of what the pup will be like as they get older before deciding which pup is for you. You can’t know that purely based of pictures or color.
You’re picking out a future family member, and I think that should go far beyond color.
I think if more breeders did this you would see far less dogs being rehomed or sitting in shelters.
You definitely don’t have an EXACT picture of who the dog will be when they’re pups, but you have a pretty good idea. The rest will be decided by environment and training.

Not sure why it only uploaded a minute of my video. But watch the full thing on my TikTok (you don’t need to have an account to watch).

Hey Good Doodle family! I think I see some hesitation from folks on how I do puppy picks. I know my method isn’t typical, but for everyone who’s experienced how I help my families pick based on personality and waiting till the pups are older, versus picking one because it looks cute at a week or two old, can you please give your honest feedback on your experience? Do you feel it helped give you the best pup for your family?

My main goal is to always make sure that my pups and their families are well matched. ❤️ It’s not an exact science, but I do believe this helps a lot. ❤️

Picture of Liberty (Libby, from Anthem x Winston’s litter) for cute floof tax. ❤️❤️

EDIT: For those that aren't familiar with my program I like to take deposits for a litter. I notate how pups are growing, personality, energy level, etc (I also am now using Embark to dna test each litter to give everyone a better picture of what size pup will be, as well as coat type). At 7.5-8 weeks old I take them to a professional trainer and have them further evaluated. It's always great to see how they behave on unfamiliar grounds. Those folks then give me their professional opinion on each pup. With that I am able to give that info to my families. I work my way down the deposit list to allow everyone an opportunity to choose which pup is right for them. If, for whatever reason, the right puppy isn't in that litter I am always happy to transfer their deposit to another litter. They also get to keep their place in line. I don't like bumping them down if they choose to pass. I want all of my pups and their families to be well matched. That is always the most important aspect to me.

Borrowed from a vet

When you get your 8/10 week old puppies, please keep this image in mind. Their bones do not even touch yet. They plod around so cutely with big floppy paws and wobbly movement because their joints are entirely made up of muscle, tendons, ligaments with skin covering. Nothing is fitting tightly together or has a true socket yet.

When you run them excessively or don't restrict their exercise to stop them from overdoing it during this period you don't give them a chance to grow properly. Every big jump or excited bouncing run causes impacts between the bones. In reasonable amounts this is not problematic and is the normal wear and tear that every animal will engage in.

But when you're letting puppy jump up and down off the lounge or bed, take them for long walks/hikes, you are damaging that forming joint. When you let the puppy scramble on tile with no traction you are damaging the joint.

You only get the chance to grow them once. A well built body is something that comes from excellent breeding and a great upbringing-BOTH, not just one.

Once grown you will have the rest of their life to spend playing and engaging in higher impact exercise. So keep it calm while they're still little baby puppies and give the gift that can only be given once.
