The last show of the year was with the Illinois Ranch Horse Association.

Genuine Pepto Polly had a great show. She placed 4th on the Jackpot Ranch Riding class adding to her earnings. In Sr Ranch Riding she placed 4th, 2nd & 4th. She placed 8th under two judges in All Age cutting. 5th in Sr Trail and in Performance Halter she placed 2nd, 9th & 6th. She went on to win Reserve mare overall under one judge. She placed 11th, and 13th in the Boxing class. This was her 1st time seeing and working cattle.

Loaded With Pretty (Foxy) debuted in riding classes. She wasn't sure about the judges. Considering Foxy has only about 60 consistent days riding she handled all the surprises over the weekend. She placed 2nd, 3rd and 4th in 2 yo in hand trail. In Performance Halter she placed 6th under two judges and 8th. In the 2yo Futurity she wasn't shown until after 11pm, met cattle for the first time and wasn't done showing until after 2am! Next year she will be more prepared.

Lil Tiye went to her 2nd show and placed 4th under all three judges in Yearling Trail. Next year she will have lots of surprises coming her way.

Overall it was a great show. We'll keep practicing!

Last month the girls went to an AQHA double show.
Lil Tiye "Poppy" was shown in yearling mare halter and placed 2nd under both judges at both shows.
Loaded With Pretty "Foxy" was shown in 2 yo mare halter and placed 1st under both judges at both shows.
Genuine Pepto Polly was shown in Performance halter and placed 4th and 5th. L1 Open Ranch Trail she placed 3rd & 2nd the 1st show and then 2nd under both judges. In Open Ranch Trail she placed 3rd under both judges, both shows. In L1/Open Ranch Riding she's was 4th under all judges one show and 2nd under both judges in L1 Ranch Riding & 5th in Open Ranch Riding. In Open Reining she was 2nd under both judges at both shows. Her last class was Open Working Western Rail. She was 2nd under both judges at the 1st show and 3rd and 6th at the 2nd show. She worked hard and earned a Grand Champion All Around award from AQHA.

After spending a week with "Lil Tiye" she's showing to be very willing and smart! She's all settled in and we started working on trail obstacles to get ready for the October ILRHA show. She has a huge floaty trot.

Welcome to the farm Lil Tiye(an Egyptian Queen 👑)! This is by a NRHA $78k+ earning son of Gunner and out of a Shining Spark mare bred by none other than Carol Rose with $6k+ in earnings from the cow horse arena. This filly is sure to be versatile and look fantastic in the ranch show ring.
