This week, the shop will be able to accept deer heads on Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday by appointment only. No work will be accepted on Wednesday or Thursday for the holiday or on Sunday this weekend. Thank you for your understanding!

The shop will be closed all day on Sunday 11/24 for the first time in over 3 weeks. It's time for a little break! We will be available tomorrow all day for drop offs (just call/text first to set up an appointment).

Congrats to all of our customers who had a successful opening weekend! There has been some great bucks through the door so far and it's just getting started. A big cold front coming in a few days so let's keep it rolling!

Good luck to everyone in the morning! Temperatures are going to be a little warm this weekend so get those big bucks caped and dropped off as soon as possible! If you take your deer to a processor, ask them when you can pick up your cape (even if the meat isn't ready yet). We already had to charge for a replacement cape this season because a processor didn't let the customer know the hide was ready and it sat outside for 3 days in 70⁰ weather!

Some good (and unique) bucks are coming in lately! Just a reminder, turnaround times are approximately 12 months regardless of what specimen you bring in. The sooner it comes in, the sooner it gets finished. Also, all work dropped off must be accompanied by a deposit. In the past, we have let that slip by, but at this point, there is too much work coming in to hold up freezer space on work that has not been completely committed to. Deposits are 50% of the total cost for each piece.

That's a wrap on all 2023 work with all pieces completed in under 10 months! Here's a few more ducks to go along with opening day yesterday. A common merganser pair and a nice black duck with some cool white markings on his wings.

Best of luck to all of the youth hunters this weekend! Again, with the warmer temps out there, cape preparation is key to a quality mount. Shoot us a text or give a call as soon as you recover your trophy to discuss caping options to preserve that memory of a lifetime!
