Oh my goodness this boy just gets better and better!!!
His grooming manners have improved so much from his first visit, he still has a tough time with his front feet and face on and off. With time I just know he will be a 100% gentleman when it comes to his spa days!
And he even told some friends about us so get ready to meet Fiona in our next post!

Oh my goodness would you look at sweet Stella's face, she is just the most adorable little lady! We always have a great time with Miss Stella and we like to think she has a great time getting pampered by us!

I believe we are finally caught up on responding to calls, text and Facebook messages! We are currently booking into September for grooming so if you'd like to get on the schedule for that month please let me know! Boarding and grooming books for Thanksgiving and Christmas are already filling up so please contact us as soon as you know that you'll be needing those services over the holidays!

It was definitely a golden day at Northbound Pet today, we got to spoil Zeke (pictured below) and his two brothers Oakley and Apollo!!! These three golden retrievers got the full grooming works and lots of daytime play as they also boarded with us this week!

Stella girl got a full shave down due to some knotting on her legs, but she got to keep her breed standard beard and brows. So now we have a fresh start on resetting her schnauzer breed standard groom on the rest of her body!

Miss Molly's before and after grooming photos! There is a bit of history between Molly and I, she was one of our first grooming clients and has been with us for about 7-8 years!!! She is an absolute sweet heart and would be completely content with just cuddling all day long!

MEET DODGE!

Dodge is part of our Angel project program and available for adoption! He is estimated to be 2-3 years old. We are guessing he is a Shepard/Collie mix. He is fully vaccinated and will be neutered before adoption!!! Dodge is an energetic boy, he does great on the leash for walks and loves off leash play in a fenced area. Unfortunately Dodge is a flight risk so if he has the opportunity to run he will. He knows the commands sit and shake very well, we are currently working on lay and recall! It's been awhile since we shared our fundraiser, so let's give it another go. We are currently raising funds for our newest foster Dodge he has had his first round of vaccinations covered by our generous donors! He is scheduled to go in this Thursday for boosters and an overall checkup estimated at $50-$100, after that all we have left to do is book his neuter (estimate $280-$340) and get him healed and ready for his forever home!!! We will be sharing more videos and photos of Dodge throughout this week to show you more about this handsome goofball!

UPDATE!!!
We had one very generous donor that completely covered Dodges vaccination boosters and check up!
Now we just have a neuter left before this guy is completely ready for his new family!

As of July 1st 2024, we will be raising service prices.
This includes 𝐀𝐋𝐋 𝐂𝐋𝐈𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐋𝐄, 𝐍𝐄𝐖 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐎𝐋𝐃.
These prices are baseline and subject to change.
All prices are determined by weight, condition of coat, temperament of pet and time needed to groom.
The price increases should range from about $5-$20 per pet. Some larger breed clients may be subject to more due to being undercharged in the past.

Our reasons for the increase:
▪ Staying up-to-date with the industry
▪ Price of products, materials, equipment and maintenance have increased

We appreciate everyone's continued bussiness and understanding during this time. 🐾

We are officially back from vacation, first day and it was full of so many familiar faces!!! I am so thankful for the supportive clientele I have! Big thanks to my volunteer foster who was able to take such amazing care of our newest rescue pup Dodge while I was away! He is now back with us and excited to see what these next few weeks bring! This is not our usual kinda photo it's not upbeat or pretty but it's important. We want our clients to know how serious we take their pups well being. Last night many of us got tornado warning alerts although our town alarm never went off. We'd rather be safe than sorry. So we quickly got our crates set up and moved everyone and their things into the basement until the storm passed. This is also why we push for our clients to crate train their dogs, this could have been a highly stressful situation and hard to handle if everyone was uncrated while anxious about the storm. Luckily this group did amazing everyone was very calm and collected and we were able to wait out the storm peacefully. We had 10 dogs and 2 cats.

Millie and Mabel brought their brother Buster with today to get groomed. For his first time here at Northbound Pet Buster did amazing, and it was so exciting to be able to pamper him as I've only ever groomed one other Wirehaired Pointing Griffon! He didn't get to keep the breed standard beard but the short face definitely looks good on him!

Guess who's back! Remember the pooch from two months ago who was completely covered in matting. That's right we were able to get his owners to put him on a regular schedule and this time when he came to visit he was completely mat free!!! He is still very unhappy with the grooming process so it is hard to get everything trimmed up perfectly but he did better than last time! Let's hope in the future the grooming process will get much easier on the little guy.

This handsome boy Dodge got to come home with us today all thanks to his rescuer and all your donations!!!
We picked him up this afternoon and transported him straight to the vet where he was checked for a microchip when no chip was found he got all his vaccinations and was given flea, tick and dewormer treatment just to be safe! This vet bill was completely covered thanks to everyone who donated big or small it makes a huge difference! After getting him home we immediately finished pulling any hidden ticks off and brushed this hairy boy out! He will be getting a full spa day as soon as he comes out of quarantine. Got to give the vaccinations time to run their course. In the meantime he is getting scheduled for his next vet visit where he will be getting his vaccination boosters and hopefully neutered if we can continue raising funds!

We had Suzy Lu and her sister Stella in today for their regular grooms, unfortunately I forgot to snag a before and after of Stella so enjoy Suzy's before and after photos! I think the wind had them looking a bit frazzled. No worries as they had their spa treatments and left looking much more relaxed!!!

We are in need of your help once again, we got a call last week of someone looking for help after taking in a dog who appears to be dumped. She is currently trying to find owners as well as anyone interested in adopting if owners are not found. We understand it's a hard time for everyone especially rescues. So if we can raise funds to get this boy seen by a vet our next step would be securing him a foster until he is neutered and ready for adoption! Any help is greatly appreciated!!!
Main goal is to cover veterinary costs first.
