We’ve had an amazing spring/summer at HITS Chicago so far!!

So much fun and success with a huge group of people and horses.

Looking forward to, but also sad for our last couple weeks in August to close out our season there 💙🧡

Our first week in Gulfport was a big success with so many great rounds had by all our horse/rider combos!!

Big thanks to our assistant Katie DeLano, Carrie Cleasby Wilkison our Handy Groom, and Demetrio who’s handling all big barn tasks. The week would not have not run nearly as smoothly without all of you 😅😅

And thank you to our amazing clients for always making it so fun!!

Big thanks to Dave of Arington Training Stable and his wonderful family assistants (wife Garnet and daughter Hannah Arington 😊) for an excellent demonstration on c**t starting today! There are not enough horse trainers like Dave out there anymore.

A perfect reminder on the importance of patience, not skipping steps and being aware/proactive of proper nutrition for your horses health.
Very relatable to our every day interactions with our “grown up” horses as well 🦄

Also an inspiration to keep striving to be better horse owners and riders, as most of us are in it for the love of the horse 💙🧡

Despite the challenging winter-y weather last week ❄️🌧️💨🥶 our awesome team made the best of it together 💙🧡
Congratulations to Sam Matranga, Katharine Irschick McLeese and Michelle Smiricky Tjardes on their horses 2nd, 3rd and 6th place finishes in the snowy Poise and Brilliance Hunter Derby, and to Halsey Hooper’s Baltino for his 2nd place welcome stake and 3rd place Prix finishes.
Proud of all the rest of our clients and horses for their individual successes over the week as well 🙌

Wrapped up week 2 of Gulfport with just a single rail in the Grand Prix for both Falco and Baltino, so proud of how both boys came out and moved up their first show back this season.
Gabrielli was 3rd in a very competitive performance round and did his best in this weeks 10k hunter classic this week, despite rider error 🤦‍♀️🙈
Thank you Hooper and Matranga family for trusting me with those rides!

The rest of the crew all had personal bests this week, and demonstrated such growth from the winter off 💙🧡

We had so many good times and laughs, and we are so proud of all of our horses and riders!

Huge thanks to Katie and Carrie (the Handy Groom) for all your hard behind the scenes work that keeps the horses happy and healthy, as well as everything running smoothly🤗

And again thank you McCarty Ltd for safely and comfortably transporting our ponies to and from the show!
