This affectionate guy was originally adopted out as a kitten in but was returned recently when his family couldn’t manage his urinary issues. Thankfully, he underwent perineal urethrostomy (PU) surgery, a procedure that helps prevent future blockages, and he has been thriving ever since! With surhery and his prescription diet, he’s been healthy and well-managed for the past year without any issues.

This gentle, affectionate, loving soul is so worth it—he adores other cats, would do well with a calm older dog, and is great with respectful children. If you’re looking for a cuddle bug who will fill your home with love, Licorice is your guy!

Some cats will greet you with head boops and purrs the moment you walk into a room. Others? They watch from a safe distance, waiting to see if you’re someone worth trusting.

The cats in this video are some of our shyest (except Coal the attention hog😹), and while they may not run up for pets right away, they are full of love just waiting to bloom.

There’s something truly special about watching a fearful cat slowly open up. The first time they blink back at you, the first time they let you sit just a little closer, the first time they lean into your touch—it’s magic. And when they finally decide you are their person, the bond is unlike any other.

These cats need patient adopters, someone willing to meet them where they are and let love grow at their pace. If you’ve ever experienced the joy of earning an animal’s trust, you know how rewarding it is.

𝗨𝗥𝗚𝗘𝗡𝗧: 𝗗𝗢𝗧𝗧𝗜𝗘’𝗦 𝗟𝗜𝗙𝗘 𝗜𝗦 𝗢𝗡 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗘 – 𝗦𝗛𝗘 𝗡𝗘𝗘𝗗𝗦 𝗔 𝗛𝗢𝗠𝗘 𝗡𝗢𝗪!🥺

When we were contacted about Dottie’s situation, we knew we had to try. This sweet 7 year old girl has spent the last couple of years in a small, confined space, unable to safely roam the home due to the resident dogs. Her family recognizes that this is no life for her. They took her in when their son could no longer care for her and have tried to make it work over the last few years, but they are now desperate to find her a loving home where she can have the comfort and care she deserves.

Dottie is a diabetic cat, and sadly, so many cats like her are overlooked because of the fear surrounding medical management. But the truth is, feline diabetes can be manageable! With a proper routine, insulin, and diet control, diabetic cats can live happy and fulfilling lives. The commitment is real, but so is the reward—you’re giving a cat like Dottie a second chance at happiness.

𝗜 𝗛𝗔𝗩𝗘 𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟𝗟𝗬 𝗠𝗘𝗧 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗦 𝗦𝗪𝗘𝗘𝗧 𝗚𝗜𝗥𝗟, 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗦𝗛𝗘 𝗜𝗦 𝗔𝗕𝗦𝗢𝗟𝗨𝗧𝗘𝗟𝗬 𝗪𝗢𝗡𝗗𝗘𝗥𝗙𝗨𝗟.

She is extremely sweet, with the cutest little trot when she walks. Despite her age, she’s still playful and adores her catnip toys. One of her funniest little quirks is that she loves to lay down while she eats or drinks.

𝗥𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧 𝗡𝗢𝗪, 𝗛𝗘𝗥 𝗤𝗨𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗧𝗬 𝗢𝗙 𝗟𝗜𝗙𝗘 𝗜𝗦 𝗦𝗨𝗙𝗙𝗘𝗥𝗜𝗡𝗚, 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗪𝗜𝗧𝗛𝗢𝗨𝗧 𝗔 𝗛𝗢𝗠𝗘, 𝗛𝗘𝗥 𝗙𝗨𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗘 𝗜𝗦 𝗨𝗡𝗖𝗘𝗥𝗧𝗔𝗜𝗡.

Her family has even considered euthanasia, not because they want to let her go, but because they don’t want her to continue living without the space, care, and comfort she deserves. That’s why they reached out to us—to try everything before making that heartbreaking decision. We don’t want to see her life cut short when all she needs is someone willing to give her the love and care she deserves.

𝗨𝗣𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘: Callie the dog and Daisy & John the cats have found their forever homes! 🏡❤️

𝗛𝗼𝘄𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿, 1️⃣2️⃣ 𝗰𝗮𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗲𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝘀𝗵𝘆𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀.

These cats lost their foster home when one of our most dedicated fosters had to step back after years of saving the ones others overlooked. They’ve worked so hard to learn trust, and now they just need a patient home to give them a chance.

After waiting several months for the perfect match, Styles has finally found her special home! Seniors often get overlooked—especially when they need to be the only pet—but this sweet girl has found a loving young couple who saw just how special she is. She’ll be the perfect work-from-home companion, and we couldn’t be happier for all of them! ❤️

We strongly believe in the overlooked, the ones who take a little longer, the ones others might pass by. Romie was one of them, but we never gave up on her, and neither did she. Now, after nearly a year of patience, love, and resilience, she’s finally where she belongs—HOME. 🏡

We are facing an incredibly heartbreaking situation—one of our most dedicated longtime fosters, who has been with Four-Legged Freedom Rescue from the very beginning in 2018, can no longer foster.

This person has been instrumental in saving the cats others would have overlooked—the shy, the under-socialized, the ones with medical or behavioral challenges. They have spent years helping these cats learn to trust, giving them the love and time they needed to be ready for forever homes.

Because of their dedication, dozens of cats who once had no chance have now found loving, forever homes—cats who were once deemed unadoptable, cats with behavioral challenges, cats that simply needed someone to believe in them. Thanks to their patience and unwavering commitment, these cats are now cherished family members.

Now, we need to rally together to find homes for the 14 remaining cats in their care. These cats deserve the same happy endings as those who have come before them.

The pictures below have each cat’s names and a brief sescription. There is:

2 friendly, social cats who are on a specific urinary diet.

11 shy but non-reactive cats who came to us very under-socialized but now seek human affection and just need a patient home.

1 special cat who is still working through some behavioral challenges, but with understanding and the right environment, he too deserves a forever home.

On top of this, we also need to find a home for their dog, Callie. Callie was rescued by this foster last year as a puppy. She is loving, sweet, great with dogs and cats, and still very puppy-like.

This is an incredibly difficult situation for everyone involved. Our foster has opened their home and heart to so many animals over the years, and having to say goodbye to these 14 cats, Callie and their fostering efforts is absolutely devastating for them and us.

We want to honor everything they’ve done by making sure these animals find the loving, forever homes they deserve.
