𝗠𝗘𝗘𝗧 𝗝𝗘𝗟𝗟𝗬𝗕𝗘𝗔𝗡 — 𝗔 𝗦𝗪𝗘𝗘𝗧 𝟳-𝗬𝗘𝗔𝗥-𝗢𝗟𝗗 𝗠𝗔𝗠𝗔 𝗪𝗛𝗢𝗦𝗘 𝗕𝗢𝗗𝗬 𝗧𝗘𝗟𝗟𝗦 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗦𝗧𝗢𝗥𝗬 𝗢𝗙 𝗙𝗔𝗥 𝗧𝗢𝗢 𝗠𝗔𝗡𝗬 𝗟𝗜𝗧𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗦.
𝗖𝗔𝗡 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗚𝗨𝗘𝗦𝗦 𝗛𝗢𝗪 𝗠𝗔𝗡𝗬 𝗞𝗜𝗧𝗧𝗘𝗡𝗦 𝗦𝗛𝗘 𝗛𝗔𝗗?
(We’ll give you a hint: that belly had us thinking she was hiding an entire chocolate bunny factory!)
Jellybean came to us extremely pregnant and suffering from a severe flea allergy that left her missing almost all of her hair and constantly uncomfortable—biting and chewing at her skin just to try to find relief.
Her previous owners called her “Half-and-Half” because she has had half hair and half no hair for years. 🥺 It broke our hearts to learn this—and that at just 7 years old, she was still having litter after litter.
𝗪𝗘 𝗪𝗔𝗡𝗧 𝗧𝗢 𝗕𝗘 𝗖𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗥 — 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗦 𝗜𝗦𝗡’𝗧 𝗧𝗢 𝗕𝗟𝗔𝗠𝗘 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗙𝗔𝗠𝗜𝗟𝗬 𝗪𝗛𝗢 𝗦𝗨𝗥𝗥𝗘𝗡𝗗𝗘𝗥𝗘𝗗 𝗛𝗘𝗥.
We are extremely grateful they were open to accepting our help. While we absolutely believe her condition and repeated litters should have been addressed long ago, we also know that 𝗡𝗢𝗧 𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗬𝗢𝗡𝗘 𝗛𝗔𝗦 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗘𝗗𝗨𝗖𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡, 𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗢𝗨𝗥𝗖𝗘𝗦, 𝗢𝗥 𝗖𝗔𝗣𝗔𝗕𝗜𝗟𝗜𝗧𝗬 𝗧𝗢 𝗗𝗢 𝗦𝗢.
With a little guidance and compassion, we were able to work together, educate them, and — most importantly — 𝗛𝗘𝗟𝗣 𝗘𝗡𝗗 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗖𝗬𝗖𝗟𝗘.
Jellybean gave birth on Easter morning and we se so grateful she was able to have a safe and natural labor.
