These two beautiful cats were heartbreakingly surrendered after spending their entire lives in the only home they’ve ever known. Their family tried everything—including working with doctors—to manage their daughter’s severe allergies, but in the end, they had no choice but to say goodbye. 💔

Now Luna and Doodles are looking for new homes where they can feel safe, loved, and secure again.

Luna is elegant, affectionate, and absolutely stunning. She’s a classic older lady—grateful for love but independent enough to let you know when she’s had enough. She enjoys soft spots, sunny naps, and a calm home where she can be cherished at her own pace.

Doodles is a total lovebug with the cutest round face you’ve ever seen. She’s always seeking affection, loves to snuggle, and will sleep curled up in your arms. She’s gentle, trusting, and full of heart.

While they’ve lived together for years, we don’t believe they’re truly bonded, so they can be adopted together or separately depending on the home.

Both are spayed, vaccinated, FIV/FELV negative and ready to find their happily ever after. ✨

This special boy is one of the kindest, sweetest, most warm-hearted cats you’ll ever meet. The moment he sees you, the purring begins. He’ll saunter over, flop onto his back for belly rubs, and look up at you with his beautiful green eyes.

Hissing? Scratching? Biting? Wilbur doesn’t even know the meaning of those words. All he wants is affection—and a warm lap to curl up in.

He’d love a home with respectful children and would do well with calm dogs and other cats. Wilbur is litter box trained, easygoing, and fantastic for grooming—he even purred through having some mats shaved!

He is currently on a safe, vet-guided weight loss journey and will need a family committed to helping him continue along that path.

Wilbur is truly a gem, and anyone would be lucky to have him. He’s ready for a forever home as loving and special as he is.

🐾 Sunday, Peep, and Peter Rabbit are 9-week-old kittens who have been raised in a foster home with other cats and large dogs—so they’re confident, social, and ready for anything! Each one is full of playful energy and cuddly charm.

Remember sweet Callie — the pup we were helping rehome, but who was given away on Craigslist before we had the chance to step in? Her journey took a terrifying turn, landing her all the way in Texas in an unstable situation.

After a whirlwind effort involving an incredible network of people who refused to give up on her, Callie is now safe and sound back in Maine. 🌲❤️

She’s settling into her foster home, decompressing, and finally getting the love and care she’s always deserved.

Callie’s story is a powerful reminder:
Rehoming without the safeguards of a reputable rescue can end in tragedy. No vetting. No home checks. No accountability. And too often, the animals pay the price.

This is why we do what we do — to 𝗘𝗗𝗨𝗖𝗔𝗧𝗘, to 𝗔𝗗𝗩𝗢𝗖𝗔𝗧𝗘, and to protect animals like Callie from slipping through the cracks.

Earlier this year (February), we stepped in to help 14 shy, under-socialized cats when their foster could no longer keep them. Thanks to this amazing community, 10 have found forever homes — but MOMMA, MINA, MUFFIN, and CALLIE still need YOU.

🐾 Momma & Mina – Mother and daughter, short-haired black beauties who are bonded. Mina is adorable and easily won over with food — she’s the first to greet you at mealtime, tail up and happy. Momma is a bit more reserved, but very connected to Mina.

🐾 Muffin & Callie – Bonded sisters. Muffin is curious, brave, and a quiet observer who will quickly be your friend wirh patience. Callie, a stunning tortie, is more cautious and leans on Muffin for confidence.

These girls are gentle, quiet souls who need calm, patient homes to truly thrive.

In the past WEEK alone, I’ve received 𝟓 𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐫𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐬—some coming directly from overwhelmed local shelters. We’re doing everything we can, but we 𝐜𝐚𝐧’𝐭 𝐬𝐚𝐲 𝐲𝐞𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬.

Meet the dogs needing help:

🐾 𝐋𝐨𝐠𝐚𝐧 – 9 y/o Boxer, surrendered due to his owner’s health decline.

🐾 𝐑𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐫 – 6-month-old Rottweiler/Hound mix, who was a dog someone obtained off Facebook and quickly realized they cannot handle his energy

🐾 𝐋𝐮𝐥𝐮 – 7 y/o Rat Terrier/Dachshund mix, that was also obtained off Facebook, but is not working out in the new home due to the other resident dog

🐾 𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐥𝐞𝐲 – 1 y/o Shepherd/Great Dane mix, whose owner is facing homelessness and can no longer afford any hotel rooms to keep the dog

🐾 𝐓𝐉 – 1 y/o Frenchie/Mastiff/Rottie mix, family can no longer care for her.

While we help dogs from out of state, 𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐋𝐎𝐂𝐀𝐋 𝐃𝐎𝐆𝐒 𝐍𝐄𝐄𝐃 𝐓𝐎 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐄 𝐅𝐈𝐑𝐒𝐓. These dogs are out of options without us.

Hera is only 8 months old… but she’s already learned what it means to be overlooked. Every day, she climbs to the top of her condo, crying out for love. She reaches her paws through the bars, begging for someone to notice her — to hold her, to take her home. (See vidoes in comments)

She’s full of life, full of love, and full of longing. Hera adores people. She wants nothing more than to be your shadow — playing, snuggling, soaking up every bit of affection she can get, but she does need to be the only feline.

She can’t live with other cats — she’s made that very clear. A calm, respectful dog might be okay, but more than anything… she just wants to be yours.
