There’s no feeling like saving a life and getting a hug from a dog who knows he’s safe. 🥹

As many of you know, in addition to running Coastal Pet Care, I also run a nonprofit rescue, Four Legged Freedom Rescueand sweet souls like Haven are why I do what I do.

Four dogs arrived from Texas this weekend, and Haven is one of them. He is pure love—and he’s ready for his forever home.

It’s Christmas Eve, and I’m busy spreading cheer to our beloved feline friends! 🎄❤️

When I arrived at Elsa’s house she was waiting under the tree, wondering where her presents might be! 🎁

And when I arrived at Jasper’s house, he was keeping a close watch from the top of the stairs, peering down as if trying to decide whether I might actually be Santa in disguise! 🎅🏻😹

Today would have been my best friends 13th birthday. 😭🩵💫

Many of you followed our journey together, especially during her last year of life in 2020/2021, and you know how profound her loss has been for me. Even now, it’s still difficult to talk about her and put into words just how much she meant to me.

Although she’s no longer physically by my side, Sky continues to live in my heart every day. She was my best friend, my constant in this ever-changing world, my light, my inspiration, and the reason I fell in love with bully breeds. Her gentle, loving soul showed me the beauty in these misunderstood dogs, and because of her, I’m committed to rescuing and giving them the love and care they deserve.

In honor of Sky’s birthday, I’m asking you to help me celebrate her life by giving a $13 birthday gift in her memory to my non profit animal rescue, Four Legged Freedom Rescue. This gift will support my rescue efforts and help me continue the work Sky inspired in me.

Meet Georgie, our newest pack member! 🐶🌼

This sweet girl is 11 years old and finds comfort in familiarity. Thanks to my in-home pet care services I was able to keep her happy and comfortable in her own home while her family was away. She has such a silly, loving personality, and spending the weekend with her was such a joy!

HAPPY INTERNATIONAL DOG DAY!
I’m a day late, but that’s because I’ve been busy caring for all your furbabies! 🐶

On this day, I couldn't help but reflect on the journey that brought me here and my beloved Sky, who passed away in 2021. Sky was more than just a dog; she was my best friend, my heart and soul—my "heart dog," as they say. 🩷

She is the inspiration behind Coastal Pet Care. Six years ago, I started this business with the goal of providing the level of care that I always wanted for her.

Sky had anxiety and some special needs, which made it incredibly difficult for me to find someone I could trust with her care. I was unable to travel for several years because I couldn’t find the peace of mind I needed to leave her in someone else’s hands. The dedication I had to her is what I bring to each of your pets every day, ensuring that you can be away from home confidently, knowing they are loved and cared for just as deeply as I cared for her. The meaning behind my slogan, “Pet Care Fur Your Peace of Mind.”

Through caring for Sky, I learned how important personalized and compassionate pet care truly is. Every dog is unique, and I understand that some animals need more love and reassurance before they can trust someone new in their home. That’s why I believe in slow introductions, multiple meet and greets, positive reinforcement, and practicing patience. My goal is to provide the same level of personalized care for each pet in our care as I did for Sky.

Over the last six years, I’ve cared for countless pets, each one leaving a unique pawprint on my heart. I’ve shared the heartache with you as some of your beloved companions crossed the rainbow bridge—they will forever hold a special place in my heart. I’ve also had the pleasure of joining in the excitement as you welcomed new puppies and rescues into your families.

On International Dog Day and every day, I’m thinking of my girl Sky, as well as all of your beloved dogs that have grown to feel like my own. Thank you to all my wonderful clients for trusting me to care for your precious pets.

Celebrating One Year with Ruby! 🎉🐶

It’s hard to believe that I’ve been caring for Ruby on a weekly basis for a whole year! From the time she was just 9 weeks old, I’ve had the pleasure of watching her grow and experience so many firsts:

🎄🕎 Her first Christmas and Hanukkah
🎂 Her first birthday, and more!

Witnessing her playful spirit, her curiosity during our walks, and the bond we’ve built has been incredibly rewarding. I’m so grateful to Ruby’s family for trusting me with her care and allowing me to be a part of her journey.
