3-year-old Loretta is a soft, sweet girl with a tender heart and gentle spirit. Although shy at first, she’s blossomed beautifully in her foster home! What started as quiet curiosity has grown into full-on lap love. Once she trusts you, she’s the ultimate snuggle bug, and is happiest burrowed under the covers or napping by your side.

Loretta is fully house-trained and enjoys roaming freely around the home. She is learning to walk on a leash (she’s more of a “wanderer” than a walker right now) and is more interested in a good nap and cuddling than she is in toys. She gets along fine with other calm dogs but would also be perfectly content as an only pug soaking up all the attention.

Because sudden noises can startle her, Loretta would thrive in a quiet, patient home where she can feel safe and loved.

Eight-year-old Murphy is a handsome senior with an energetic side! He enjoys cuddling with his humans on the couch and watching TV, but also loves chasing other dogs and playing with toys. Murphy’s other favorite pastimes include going for walks, wolfing down his food, engaging in attempted food thievery from other dogs’ bowls, and snoozing in various locations throughout the house (including on human beds, under human beds, on the couch, and in the crate). Murphy is housetrained, crate trained, doggie door trained, and responds well to verbal corrections from his people. As a born explorer with a curious side, he is occasionally tempted to bolt out of the front door to see all of the happenings in the neighborhood; his ideal forever family will be prepared with bolting prevention tactics (which could include treats, as Murphy loves his food). Two-year-old Nico, who came into the rescue as a stray, is thriving in his loving foster home and looking for a forever family! In his new life, Nico is discovering the joys of affection, playtime, and toys. He loves giving kisses to his humans, going for walks with the family, zooming around the house with his pug foster brothers, selecting toys to play with, and falling asleep with toys in his mouth. Despite a lack of prior training, Nico is proving to be smart and eager to please! He is currently learning several training commands and is mastering the art of housetraining. His ideal forever family will continue with his training, provide him with plenty of exercise given his high energy level, and give him ample outlets for socializing (including a friendly canine playmate at home!). 10-month-old Samson is a lively Boston terrier/pug mix, also known as a Bugg. This exotic young man is active and ready to play 24/7. Samson’s favorite things include going for walks, sharing his toys with his Frenchie foster brother, cuddling, and being outside (unless it’s raining, because he is part pug after all). He adores the company of other dogs and people, but can be skittish in new situations at times. His foster mom is working on building his confidence and helping him to master those all-important housetraining and doggie door skills.
