Look whooo stopped by UrgentVet Kennesaw! This stunning owl was brought to us after sustaining head trauma. Our team provided immediate care to stabilize the injury before transferring this feathered friend to a licensed wildlife rehabilitation center for specialized treatment.

While we primarily care for cats and dogs, we’re always ready to step up for animals in need. If you have an exotic pet, please call ahead - some of our veterinarians are equipped to treat them, but availability may vary.

⚠️ Reminder: Injured wildlife should always be handled by trained professionals. Please contact animal control or a wildlife rehab center if you come across a wild animal in need.

Yesterday, our team at UrgentVet Mckinney had the solemn honor of providing care for K9 Officer Azi, a devoted partner who gave his life in the line of duty. Azi was a hero, a protector, and a beloved member of the McKinney Police Department.

Our hearts go out to Azi’s handler, fellow officers, and all who knew and loved him. His dedication and bravery will never be forgotten.

Rest easy, K9 Officer Azi. You were deeply loved, and your service will always be remembered. It was a privilege to care for you.

🚨 OFFICIAL STATEMENT: OFFICER-INVOLVED SHOOTING 🚨

The McKinney Police Department has released an official statement regarding the officer-involved shooting that occurred on March 13, 2025, at the Red Roof Inn on 1300 North Central Expressway.

The investigation remains active and has been turned over to the Texas Rangers. There is no ongoing threat to the public.
