Ares the Great Dane and Prometheus the Belgian Malinois both came in with ear infections. After running an ear cytology, we sent them home with the right medications to get those ears feeling better in no time! 💙

Did you know grapes can be toxic for dogs? Stella, a sweet Pomeranian, found this out the hard way. Thankfully, her pet parents acted fast and brought her to UrgentVet. We induced vomiting to safely get the grape out and kept her comfortable afterward. 💙

Soda 🫶🏻🐾 - Sweet Soda is a 2 year old Maltipoo !! His dad had noticed Soda was scratching alot and his skin was pink ! Soda also had some episodes of vomiting as well. Sodas dad brought him to us and we had our doctor examine Soda. After his examination, the doctor recommended Soda get an anti nausea injection and a cytopoint injection ( cytopoint is an allergy injection that helps calm itching and skin irritation). Soda was such a sweet boy and he gave everybody kisses and snuggles !! We hope he has a speedy recovery !!

Pets sometimes munch on things they shouldn’t—like whole rib bones. This sweet dog, Kumo, gulped down what he thought was the ultimate treat before his pet parents could intervene. We quickly took x-rays to find the bone’s location, and Kumo was transferred to an ER vet for emergency surgery that night. Quick action and diagnostic testing were crucial in saving Kumo’s life. If your pet gets into something they shouldn’t, time is critical. We’re here for you when you need us.

Loki 🫶🏻🐾 - Loki is a sweet 9 year old beagle who came to see us for back pain ! After our doctor examined Loki, it was decided to get him started on pain medications! We gave Loki two injections in clinic for pain and inflammation , and we also sent him with some oral pain medications to go home ! Loki will have to be on strict rest while his back improves ! We wish him a speedy recovery !

With the heat still in full swing, remember that our furry friends feel it too! Walking your dog in hot weather can lead to heatstroke and other injuries. Here's why: Concrete and asphalt retain heat, making it much hotter for your pet, and these surfaces can burn their paw pads. When it’s above 80-85 degrees, it’s best to walk your dog in the early morning or at dusk. If that’s not possible, keep walks short and stay on the grass. Always provide plenty of water and watch for signs of heatstroke, such as excessive panting, drooling, lethargy, and confusion. If you notice any of these, bring your pet to us right away.

Maggie 🐾🫶🏻 - This sweet baby came to see us for an upset tummy ! Her owners were worried about due to vomiting and lethargy . We examined Maggie and she was so sweet ! We have her some subcutaneous fluids under her skin to help hydrate after vomiting multiple times and also an anti nausea injection as well. Maggie was such a sweet and brave girl for her treatments ! We hope she recovers well !

Teddy 🐾💙 - Teddy came to see this weekend for an upset tummy ! He was such a sweet and brave boy for his visit ! We gave him some fluids under his skin to help hydrate him and he took it like a champ! We also gave him an anti nausea injection and some meds to go home to help as well. Teddys tail was wagging the whole time during his visit and he made sure to thank everyone with kisses ! We hope he recovers well!

Dinky 🐾🫶🏻 - this sweet handsome boy came to see us for some upset tummy and a slight cough ! We examined him and started him on antibiotics to help ! Dinky and our staff member Tatum were immediate best friends ! Dinky was such a sweet boy and UrgentVet kenned enjoyed spending time with him and helping him feel better !

Penny🐾🫶🏻 - The best hair in town goes to Penny ! Our staff couldn’t stop loving and petting her super soft coat! Penny came to see us for some vomiting and lethargy. We gave her some subcutaneous fluids under her skin to help rehydrate after vomiting and an anti nausea injection as well. Not only did penny have amazing hair but she had the sweetest personality as well! Everybody loved the time they got to spend and help penny feel better ! We wish her a speedy recovery !

Max 🐾🫶🏻 - Max is a 3 month old German Shepard puppy who came to see for limping on his hind left rear leg . We examined him and he needed some X-rays to further investigate and get a good look at his bone. After X-rays , Dr. Lowe found out that max had fractured his leg in 2 different places on his rear left leg. We splinted his leg and he gots lots of peanut butter for being such a brave boy ! We wish him a speedy recovery !

Luna 🐾🪩 - This sweet baby came to see us for a possible ear infection ! Her mom said she had been rubbing her ears and had a lot of debris in them ! We got some swabs of Luna’s ears and ran a cytology . We found lots of yeast in Lunas ears which are a type of bacteria we see commonly in ear infections ! Hint the yeasts are the dark purple bowling pin shaped spots on the second picture ! We cleaned her ears and put an antibiotic ear ointment in both ears ! Luna was such a sweetheart and put a smile on everyone’s face here ! We wish her a speedy recovery !
