We need your help! If you’ve been following us on social media, you know we had a case of ringworm in the cafe right before the holidays, forcing us to close temporarily. Our cats freely roam the cafe 24/7, so for the safety of our guests we have remained close until 01/23 as long as there are no new outbreaks.
Announcing to the world that we have a ringworm case is unnerving, but we have always strived to remain transparent with our community. This is rescue work and despite our existing rigorous cleaning procedures, this happens sometimes.
Being closed, especially during our busiest time of the year has been hard on us. We have gone through quite a lot of toys, beds, cleaning supplies & funds. Medical costs & lack of income to our long term closure is weighing heavily on us and we need your help!

All we got for Christmas was lousy ringworm! 😂 We will be closed for the next 2 weeks so we can isolate the spread and stay on top of sanitizing everything every single day.
Ringworm is extremely common in animal rescue and it is not a parasite, despite its name! It is an annoying fungal skin infection transferred by direct contact with infected humans, animals, or soft surfaces. You are just as likely to run into ringworm in public gyms, on playgrounds, and in other large cohorts of animals like we and many other shelters and rescues have.
These are two of our busiest weeks of the year and we’re devastated to be closed, but the safety of our guests and cats are a top priority. Thank you for understanding! We hope you have a great holiday!

Meet Lan!
It’s Giving Tuesday! Your donation to Treetops Kitty Cafe makes a life-changing difference for both cats and humans. Meet Lan, a beautiful black beauty who came to us as a very young cat! She was semi-feral and would not let anyone touch her or really get near her. She had been adopted but returned to the shelter because she just “didn’t like people”. As with many of the cats who come to Treetops Kitty Cafe, she needed time, consistency, and lots of patience to begin to trust us. And boy, once she did, her fun-loving, playful, and energetic personality really blossomed! She began to trust people and would accept love from both staff and strangers. After almost 2 years at Treetops, Lan was adopted with fellow Treetop kitty, Bagheera. She and Bagheera are now best friends and living a sweet life filled with love and snuggles. Without your support, we would not be able to provide shelter and care for cats who otherwise would go unnoticed or even euthanized because of being deemed “unadoptable”. Thank you for helping us help these amazing animals!

Meet Marigold "Mari"!
It’s Giving Tuesday! Your donation to Treetops Kitty Cafe makes a life-changing difference for both cats and humans. Meet Marigold “Mari”! She is an adorable ball of fur who arrived at Treetops on Veteran’s Day, November 11, 2024. Just days after her arrival, we discovered she had a condition called stomatitis, which causes painful inflammation of the gums and mouth ulcers. Dental disease is extremely painful for cats and, if left untreated, can lead to irreversible damage in other parts of the body. At Treetops Kitty Cafe, we treat medical conditions to the best of our ability to ensure each cat’s comfort and give them the best chance for adoption and long-term stability in their forever home. Mari is now recovering from her surgery in a foster home, where she can move freely and heal under the loving care of her foster family. Your contributions help make stories like Mari’s possible.
