These photos were taken just last Monday, when Tuck joined us outside as we worked. It felt like he knew his time was short, and in his gentle way, he came out to say goodbye.

Just because it’s cold outside doesn’t mean your dog doesn’t need water. Winter air is dry, and if you’ve got the heat cranked up at home, your pup’s hydration can take a hit.

Keep their water bowl full (and unfrozen if it’s outside), and maybe remind them that snow isn’t a snack.

Here’s something we didn’t think about until recently: frozen dog p**p doesn’t just disappear in the winter. It can actually break apart and spread bacteria into the soil when the snow melts. So, even though it’s cold and everything feels frozen, regular cleanups are still important to keep your yard safe and healthy.

Say hello to Miesha, a 10.5-year-old retired racing greyhound who became a foster fail through 4 Greyhound Racers (be sure to follow them!). 💕

Miesha loves to “Roo” and stomp her foot to get attention, adores peanut butter and pig ears, and finds joy in the simple things—like toilet paper and cardboard boxes. 🐾

She’s a sunbather in the summer, enjoys light rain, and loves a quick romp in the snow before retreating for a cozy kennel nap. Independent yet cuddly, she’s full of charm!
