We just want to send out a cautious reminder that coyotes have been out and about in Kenosha and surrounding areas. We had a very sweet patient come in this morning who was bitten by a coyote in her backyard. Please be mindful of your pets. You can never be too careful. We are so glad that Kaiya will be okay.
Do not leave your pets outside unattended.

BLUE!" Hound lovers, we have got the dog for you! Blue is a big, soft, wrinkly, lover boy that is affectionate and comical. He has a lot of personality -very true to his breed. Blue likes to eat and with his super sniffer you can tempt him into anything you want by waving a treat around. He is still puppy-ish so he will need some supervision and for you to continue his training, but he already sits on command, and he is well housebroken. No accidents in his foster home. Blue sleeps in his crate and probably should be in one when you can't watch him. A fenced yard is a must for this boy, so he does not wander off because he spends a lot of his time sniffing every inch of the ground. He LOVES to be outside and is good at entertaining himself. He spends most of his day sitting on the deck watching the birds and sun bathing. He will take his toys outside too and toss them around or chew his bones. He's very playful and he loves everyone he meets including both people and other dogs. He'd probably love some kids to play with as long as they understand a big dog that's still a puppy can be clumsy and overzealous at times and could quite possibly love them to death, but he is also a great napper and if you give him a bone to chew that will keep him busy. Blue is definitely a good catch. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and heartworm tested. His adoption fee is $450 to help cover the cost. German Shepherd fans, your dream dog awaits! Heidi is a very good girl. She is about 3 years old and weighs 50 pounds. She goes to work with her foster mom, and enjoys it very much. She loves riding in the car and jumps right in and sits nice the whole way. At work she shows polite manners to the staff and was extremely well behaved at all of her vet visits and for grooming. She has a great recall and catches on to routines quickly. Heidi is well housebroken, and crate trained. She will go stand by the door when she needs to go out. She loves squeaky toys, playing tug and fetch and she is VERY snuggly. This dog wants and deserves a best friend in her adopter. She needs a human that will give her time and attention and she will repay you with incredible loyalty. She will need plenty of exercise. She is definitely true to her breed with intelligence, loyalty and energy. If her needs are met, you really could not ask for a better dog. She would be best paired with a dog of like size and energy or as an only dog she would do just fine as well. She plays a bit too hard for small dogs. Heidi is currently getting eyedrops for dry-eye. The medication is not expensive, and she sits perfectly for you to put it in twice daily . It seems likely she will need the drops forever, at least on a "as needed" basis. Heidi is vaccinated, spayed, microchipped, heartworm tested, and dewormed. Her adoption fee is $400 to cover the cost.
