Any cat or kitten old enough to be spayed or neutered undergoes the procedure and receives a rabies vaccine before it is offered for adoption. Fiddie is a 7-year-old neutered male with extra toes (a polydactyl). He is a rescued outdoor cat who has been living in a pole barn for a year (no longer outdoors at all) because he is unable to join the household of the woman who rescued him. He is neutered and up to date on vaccines.

Fiddie is an independent, sociable guy who loves laps and long pets. When his peeps give him a standing belly massage, he melts and make biscuits right on their lap while purring loudly! He has a thing he does when his humans pet him just above his nose – it feels so good that he partially opens his mouth and it looks like he’s smiling! He does lots of stretching when he’s relaxed (downward facing dog in yoga terms). His other special feat is he will do twirls for food, the latter of which is his favorite of all.

He longs for laps to sit on and his own places in a home where he can nap in the sun, which he does not have now. A barn is NOT where he belongs. It will take him a little while to get used to different sounds and a new environment, but with time he’ll do just fine. He’s used to the quiet. He’s a happy boy who will make his new peeps happy too!! He just needs a chance to prove it to you!!

Fiddie did test positive for FIV, however, he has no other health concerns. Being FIV+, he will need an adopter who will pay attention to his health and commit to regular health checks -- just like any other kitty should have!! FIV+ cats can live just as long and as healthy as non-FIV cats. While many suggest that FIV+ cats need to live as only pets, in some circumstances, FIV+ cats can live with non-FIV cats.

Barbara Jean is a bashful but very adventurous little girl. Estimated to be about 12 weeks old, her mom and 3 other siblings were taken in as rescues. Barbara Jean is bit shy at first and is more interested in playing but once she’s ready to wind down and relax, she loves to snuggle up under your neck. She’s been around another cat and dog a bit and doesn’t seem at all intimidated but very inquisitive, so she should adapt to any household in time. Cindy, Carl, and Carrie were found on a cold cement floor, crying from hunger. A kind person took care of them until they came to Kindred Kitties. With around-the-clock care by more than one person, they have become happy, loving kittens. In foster care, they have a place to run and jump, and play with their toys and each other. They also love jumping up to be held. They have a lot of personality.

We completed the move to our new building yesterday! The cats are settling in and we will remain closed to the public (except by appointment if you have an approved application) for a period of time as the cats get acclimated to the new space and we get everything organized. We are so incredibly grateful to the following individuals who helped with today’s move: Charlotta, Morgan, Deb, Liz, Cathy, Heather, Jimee, Jen, Ryan, Cathy, Heidi, Riley, Chris, Jerry, Tom, Amy, Nicole, and Linnea!

Goose, Tito, Angel, and Whitley are super sweet 12-week-old kittens. They love to be together and always find new things to do and places to explore. The simplest toys make them happy. They love to climb kitty trees and cuddle together for their morning and afternoon naps. They have lots of energy, are very curious, and are outgoing. They love being around their fosterfamily and fur babies (other cats and dogs). They have a great appetite and enjoy kitty snacks. They know their Foster Mom’s voice, and they come running every time she calls! They will need to be adopted with a sibling or to a home with another cat buddy to keep them company. Milo and Blue are both #adoptable and awaiting their forever homes. They became fast friends in their foster home and Blue has even helped Milo to settle down a little bit as when he first came to us he was a dude who was very easily overstimulated.
