🥹🥹🥹 We were absolutely BLOWN AWAY by the number of you that showed up to the party. If we didn’t get the chance to say hello and thanks in person - we’re sorry we missed you! The love and support we felt was immense and it was a perfect send off. Thank you for making it special.

If we didn’t get to say a personal thank you, please know that we are so grateful for you and your support is felt and appreciated. We know not everyone was able to attend the party and we also would like to thank everyone that extended gratitude in all the other ways.

Anytime we have done an interview for prospective employees, one of our favorite things to talk about is how great our clients are - and it’s true! You guys are part of what made our job special and we couldn’t be more thankful for you.

Dr. Rob might be done seeing patients, but he was more than happy to meet little Reba today. Not only is she super cute, but she has the honor of joining a family that has been coming here since Dr. David started the clinic!

Dr. Rob is in the office wrapping some things up today and tomorrow and then he hopes to see you at the party if you can make it!

Meet Dr. Lam! We are thrilled to welcome her to our team 🥳

5 fun facts to help you get to know Dr. Lam better:

1. Enjoys gaming with friends. Current go-to is Valorant, but enjoys others like League (ARAM only), Sims, Rollercoaster Tycoon, and Mario Party.
2. Won a trophy for Irish dancing in junior high!
3. Huge Disney fan and hopes to visit all the parks someday (been to LA, Hong Kong, and Japan so far!)
4. Collector of stickers, plushies, and figurines (Pokémon, Hello Kitty, Disney, Pop Mart)
5. Loves traveling, hoping the next adventure will be Italy!

Kate asked for Dr. Rob’s top 5 cat breeds and here he is with two of them! Frank (orange kitten) comes in at #5 and Tobi (Burmese) comes in at #2!

Dr. Rob in one of his happy places - surgery! He got to do one last exploratory surgery this morning before retirement. Any guesses what he removed?

The item was a little less exciting than the answer to the question Jamie recently asked: “Best exploratory surgery find?”

That answer is an entire pair of denim shorts! It was in pieces but our staff was able to put them together like a puzzle to reveal the identity of the stuck item 😂

A smart question from our previous team member, now 3rd year veterinary student, soon to be Dr. Hannah!

When deciding to retire, one of the things that made the decision the hardest was when Dr. Rob realized that he wouldn’t get to practice medicine alongside Dr. Hannah. They would have made a great team and there would have been constant laughter in the office when they worked together.

As much as everyone loves snuggling puppies, Dr. Rob also has a soft spot for the senior pups. Gizmo has been a regular patient of Dr. Rob for most of his life and helping his patients age gracefully has been one of the most rewarding parts of his career.

Oh my…those paws! 🐾 those puppy dog eyes! 👀 those ears…12 week old Auggy has it all 🥰

BIG puppy cuddles and kisses are always a highlight of Dr. Rob’s day and something he will miss the most!

We are going to be celebrating Dr. Rob a little extra this month before his retirement!

Coco and Riley are long time patients of Dr. Rob and they were excited to introduce their new brother Charlie to their favorite doctor before he retired.

Not seeing these new little family members grow up is one of the things Dr. Rob will miss the most!

‼️ BIG ANNOUNCEMENT ‼️

After 26 years of dedicated service to the people and pets in our community, Dr. Rob is RETIRING! Let’s join together to celebrate him with thanks, love and appreciation for his years of care and service.

Dr. Rob followed in his dad’s footsteps pursuing a rewarding career helping people and animals. After graduating from veterinary school at WSU in 1998, he started working alongside his dad at McMonigle Veterinary Hospital. He purchased the clinic from his dad in 2001 and started his 23 years of leadership - always leading with a lot of heart and humor! He is passing the baton to the next leadership team and his last day taking appointments will be Wednesday, 9/4/2024. His exit will be bittersweet as he has truly enjoyed taking care of the community that has been built here over the years. He would love to see you at the party! Information in photo above.

Maria will also be stepping down from her role as Hospital Manager after 18 years of service at MVH. She has been in more of a “behind the scenes” role over the last few years while she helped prepare the clinic for this transition, so you may not have seen her around the front desk as much recently, but she still has been a big part of the clinic and her presence will be missed!

AND Pinto, after 3 long years (or is it 21 since he lives in dog years?), will also be retiring. He is ready for more beach and mountain days!

Dr. Martinez, Dr. Ruthford and Dr. Murdock will still be here to help you and your pets - and stay tuned for a NEW doctor announcement soon!
