Hope all my Washington based clients made it through the storm without incident. Me and my dog made it through 5 days without power, and are now back in business. Started the day out by meeting these two new wonderful clients. The cattle dog is a wonderful girl who loves cookies! You can’t tell that the little Doberman girl is a little scared of new people, she had a good time with me and even got the zoomies! Great progress for our first session!

This dog is so excited over visitors that he barks, jumps up and even nips at clothing. We need him to understand that only if he is quiet and either sit or lay down will he get attention (and a cookie) from me the visitor. We have reinforced a down a lot as a dog in down position is less likely to jump. I use either a leash the owner holds on to, or a barrier so the dog can’t reach me the visitor. If he did, he would jump and nip. #if I will only walk up and hand him a cookie if he is in a down position. #politegreeting #antijumpexercise #dogtraining #jumpingup #gentlewaysdogtraining #gentleways #dogschoice #behaviorconsultant
