🐾Microchips are small electronic chips that are about the size of a grain of rice.
🐾Microchips are NOT a GPS device. The chip has a unique identification number that when scanned can be used to get into contact with you as the owner of the pet.
🐾 Microchips don't carry specific information about your pet. Once your pet is microchipped, you will register their number online with the specific registry, and add your contact information. Some microchip companies allow you to add additional information about your pet that may be helpful.
🐾 Anesthesia or surgery is NOT required to get your pet microchipped.

The vet assistant/technician position will consist of helping the doctor during examinations, restraining animals, communicating with clients, and more.
Salary will be based off of experience. We offer a very competitive hourly compensation, medical insurance, employee paid time off, employee product and services discount and paid holidays. This position will have Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday hours.

Good afternoon!
Cillian came in to have his teeth cleaned and didn't need any extractions! Yay!
We LOVE to see a routine cleaning! ✨
Dental cleanings are recommended annually, but at home care is still needed - this helps keep the tartar build up to a minimum.
Ideal at home care would be brushing teeth regularly, multiple times a week if possible.

Roscoe came in to have a dental cleaning done and was a perfect example of a routine cleaning. Routine meaning that his teeth only had mild tartar build up, so they cleaned up nicely and he did not require any extractions! ✨🦷

Extractions can be necessary though depending on the dental health of the patient or their chewing habits. Some animals require extractions due to severe tartar build-up that hides cavities, or deep pockets under the gum line that can cause infections. If they like to chew on things, sometimes they can cause a slab fracture, where the pulp cavity (nerve) is exposed, and can be very painful.

Infections under the gums that go left untreated can ultimately lead to tooth root abscess. This can be a source of discomfort for them and also cause other health issues with the kidneys and the heart if not treated.
