Just getting through Thanksgiving and coming into Christmas and New Years, we can understand why Sage is hiding. Even though she is hiding for a different reason. She didn't want Dr. Oakley to examine her, so we had a game of hide and seek in the exam room.

We hope you saw the post about the coloring contest at Kenton Elementary Preschool. If not, look back and check those adorable pictures out.

This has inspired us to have a monthly coloring contest! Starting December 1st, you can bring your child in to pick up a coloring page. We have a cat page and dog page for each age group (they get to pick if they want a cat or dog). The ages will be up to 2 to 5 years old, 6 to 10 years old, and 11 and older. We will announce the winners on our page on the last business day of the month. We will ask that submissions be brought in 7 days prior to voting. All votes will be done by the staff in the clinic. The top 3 winners in each age group will receive a prize and be displayed in our lobby. Let's get creative! 🖍

We sponsored a coloring contest at Kenton Elementary Preschool a few weeks ago. Here are the results of the top coloring pages voted on by the wonderful staff in the clinic. The winners in each age group (ages 3, 4, ,5) received a special prize for their placement! We have them on display in our lobby, they have put a smile on our faces, and we know it will for you too!

A couple of Fridays ago, Dr. Kelsey Oakley visited Kenton Preschool and talked to the kids about the importance of taking their pets to the vet. Her dog, Jim Capone, and two goats were also along for the visit. The kids had a great time, and the animals loved all the attention! Thank you, Dr. Oakley!

Today is Dr. Monica's last day in the clinic. Dr. Monica Decker, thank you for being a great part of Oates Veterinary Clinic. You will be greatly missed by everyone in the clinic, the clients and the patients. We hope nothing but great things for your next adventure! Snickerdoodle is being harassed by the blue jays this morning. These birds are quite courageous. Does this ever happen at your house to your inside kitties?

We wanted to share this funny video with all of you. We had two cats here recently that were on opposite ends of the hallway. This handsome fellow is Sherbert. The other baby is Skeeter. Whenever Skeeter would meow, Sherbert would meow, “Hello?” When Skeeter wasn’t talking, his meows were normal. It is so cute. We hope you like it as much as we did! Enjoy. ❤️
