📣Introducing Allison Julian: A 2024 RodeoKids Ambassador📣

We’re excited to introduce Allison Julian, a talented and hardworking member of our RodeoKids team. Allison has been involved in rodeo for five years and has consistently impressed us with her dedication, skill, and positive attitude. Here’s a bit more about her:

Best Piece of Advice:
Allison's advice is simple but powerful: "If you give up, you will never know the outcome of what would have happened if you didn’t try." Her words remind us to keep pushing forward, no matter the challenges.

Rodeo Events:
Allison competes in barrel racing, pole bending, and trail rides. She’s also an excellent horse trainer, and you can see her great work AJ Colts and Horses Her talent and commitment make her a role model for others.

Charlee Kate was one of the first younger kids I got to help with horseback riding. She enjoyed horses (and riding them) so much. One year ago, on May 21, 2023, Charlee went home to Heaven. She was only 9 years old.

To mark the anniversary, her mom, LeeAnn, asked that people do random acts of kindness on 5/21 in honor of beautiful Charlee Kate - who loved BIG and had such a giving heart! What can you do to show God’s love to someone tomorrow?

Also, be sure to follow Charlee Kate’s Closet - an organization that was started in her memory to assist local foster families. They just recently got a building and will be such a blessing to our area.

tonight I was on a zoom meeting with several of our rodeo kids ambassador team and the topic was problems and it really got me thinking..

problems we all have problems…

maybe you feel like you always have problems but someone else’s life is going better..

maybe your problem is struggling with your grades..

maybe your problem is stressing and worrying all the time..

maybe your problem is worrying about some guy..

maybe your problem is not hanging out with the right kind of friends..

maybe your problem is following the crowd…

maybe your problem is listening to the wrong kind of music…

or maybe your problem is not trusting God…

when you feel like your life is crumbling on top of you and your the only one with problems I was always taught you never know what happens behind a closed door…

your not gonna be the only one with problems but it’s how you handle those problems that count..

if your really struggling with rodeo or dance or school or track or swim and etc my immediate thought is I need to see what my trainer or coach thinks well let me go ask my parents and see what they think
but it’s almost never wait… let me ask God let me pray about this let me pray that God will speak through my coach that I’m about to go ask for help from or speak through my parents or my friends whoever it is why though is that not our first thought it should but be we are all sinners and fall short..

maybe it’s because your not staying grounded enough..

maybe it’s because your staying grounded but then get with certain people and act a different way..

maybe it’s because you weren’t taught anything about God..

worrying about all the problems all the time is going to eat at you… could even make some depressed..

but going to God laying those problems on him asking for forgiveness praying about these things about what you should do and going in the word reading verses and stories about problems but not just about problems but staying grounded in the word seeing your not alone and never will be is going to help you more then anything else in this world can.. 🤍

Philippians 4:13 is a very strong verse! it shows
you are never alone, and always have someone there with you through everything! I try and say a prayer everytime before I go in and make a run, for my protection, for my friends that are there running, for the safety of all the riders there, to have clean runs, and to say thank you for this life you’ve given me!

I love using split reins I ride in them 99 percent of the time, sometimes I run in them! they aren’t used for just training, or tuning on a horse! they also give you more rein and a little more leeway! and you can be lighter with them I think, since you have more rein, but you can have the same amount of pressure!
