In November 1998, a small group of West Michigan Animal Welfare advocates met to address the need for a reduced-fee dog and cat sterilization clinic open to the public. These dedicated individuals first raised the funds for a mobile spay/neuter clinic and a few years later, a stationary clinic. Generous individuals, companies and granting organizations make it possible for us to keep our fees low

but our quality of care high. C-SNIP has expanded its services to include preventative veterinary care. Our vision is that all dogs and cats will be healthy, happy and in loving homes. We empower caregivers to break the cycle of pet overpopulation and health-related pet surrender by providing high-quality, reduced cost spay/neuter and wellness services. We believe that accessible veterinary care improves the lives of the animals, the people who love them and the community in which they live. Today we get to shine a spotlight on another one of our regular clinic pets. Zoi can usually be found behind the desk at our Well Pet Clinic. She is always helping to greet clients and making sure that the clinic is running smoothly.

CSNIP is happy to get to be a place where all animals are made comfortable. Thanks to our Veterinarians and Techs, we are able to provide a space for pets and owners alike to be safe and secure when getting the care they need.

We are excited to announce that CSNIP has been awarded a $1,000,000 three-year grant from PetSmart Charities. The funds will be used to expand services and increase capacity to help more companion animals and pet families throughout West Michigan.

Pets are our passion at CSNIP. When the veterinary care they need isn't accessible, it causes stress on families and puts pets in jeopardy. CSNIP is committed to provide veterinary care to vulnerable West Michigan families to ensure their pets thrive at home and stay out of shelters. This grant will have a huge impact for CSNIP and for those we serve.

According to PetSmart Charities, 50 million pets in the U.S. lack access to even basic veterinary care. Rising costs and other barriers mean these pets don't have access services such as spay/neuter procedures, vaccinations and critical medical and preventative care. With as many as 70 percent of households now including pets, this issue affects families in nearly every community.

Boris is our most popular clinic pet. He is a feral turned friendly that lives in our spay/neuter clinic. He is passionately in charge of food quality, naps, and boxes. For anyone who hasn't met Boris, he is a shy quiet, and playful guy. CSNIP's love for pets is what drives us to keep fighting to provide affordable veterinary care for our community. Boris has had all of his veterinary care at CSNIP and he is just one of many happy and healthy animals that we see daily.
