Special shout out to this amazing crew of volunteers! We are so grateful to Bradley Company for volunteering their time and labor on 6/7/24 to spruce up the grounds of our Kentwood spay/neuter clinic.

This wonderful group worked from 8am-Noon, taming the weeds, planting, trimming bushes and cleaning up the property. We want to take a moment to appreciate their commitment to CSNIP's mission and to community service by volunteering to help us with our "Spring Yard Clean Up Day.

🍩We couldn't celebrate National Donut Day without sharing this handsome boy we had the privilege of meeting.

🚔This is Donut and he was rescued by the GRPD last year. After his rescue he was reunited with his family who decided Donut was living his best life and allowed him to stay with the GRPD, who then made him an honorary member of the force. Donut has recently celebrated his retirement and resides at the home of a staff member at the department to make room for a new K9 unit!

CSNIP is in need of empty cat litter buckets (the kind pictured here with lids and handles.) Our medical staff uses these containers around the clinic daily and we are almost out! If you have empty litter pails like this (with lid!) then please drop them off at C-SNIP's surgical clinic, 1675 Viewpond Dr. SE, Monday-Friday from 9am-3pm.

☀🌡 As temperatures rise, it's crucial to remember that leaving pets in cars, even for a few minutes, can be extremely dangerous. On a 78-degree day, the temperature inside a parked car can soar to between 100 and 120 degrees in just minutes, and on a 90-degree day, the interior temperature can reach as high as 160 degrees in less than 10 minutes.

As Summer comes closer and the school year comes to an end, we want to give a shout-out to all the hardworking students, parents, and teachers. Summer is a great time for family adventures, including fun with your furry friends. Here are some fun family activities you can do with your pets this season!

🏖️ Beach Days: Head to a pet-friendly beach for a day of sand, surf, and fun. Remember to bring fresh water and shade for your pet.

🌲Hiking Adventures: Explore nature trails with your dog. Make sure to choose trails suitable for pets and bring plenty of water.

⛺️Camping Trips: Take your pets on a camping adventure. Ensure they are and secure in the tent and protected with a microchip.

🍉Picnic in the Park: Enjoy a relaxing picnic with your pet at a local park. Bring pet-friendly snacks and a comfy blanket for lounging.

💦Water Fun: Set up a kiddie pool or sprinkler in the yard for some water play. Many pets love to cool off in the water on hot days.

Don't forget to keeps your pets hydrated with plenty of fresh water and ensure they are up to date on their current flea and tick prevention.

This evening our CSNIP family had to say goodbye to our beloved Nana. If you've been to our clinic in the last year you've probably seen her lounging on her bed or sneaking snack crumbs. Nana was found last Summer wandering the streets, and our Well Pet Clinic Coordinator, Rachel, took her in. Since then Nana has been an adored bonus staff member, lighting up the lives of everyone she came into contact with. She has left her paw prints on each and every one of our hearts that will never fade. 🌈🐾
