Dental disease can be incredibly painful for pets, but since they can't tell us how they feel, we may not realize there's a problem until it's too late.

Chronic pain and inflammation caused by dental disease can lead to behavioral changes like lethargy, irritability, and decreased appetite.

That's why it's important to schedule annual dental evaluations as part of your pet's regular preventive care exam.

A thorough dental procedure can help alleviate pain and discomfort, making your pet feel like a whole new animal!

Don't forget about your pet's oral health! Home care is essential to prevent expensive dental surgeries down the road.

Brush your pet's teeth every day with special toothpaste flavored like beef, chicken, fish, or peanut butter. Plus, feed them dental diet food to prevent plaque and tartar buildup.

Want to keep your furry friend healthy and happy? It all starts with their diet. After determining your pet's body condition score, take a closer look at what they're eating. Are they getting high-quality ingredients like lean proteins, complex carbs, and healthy fats? Or do they survive on a diet of sugary treats and junk food?

Take a hard, honest look at your pet's diet to see if it needs adjusting. Even small treats can add up quickly and provide little nutritional value. Don't hesitate to reach out to us for help. Choosing the right diet for your pet can be tricky, but our team is here to help. Call to talk to your veterinarian.

Does your pup ever seem like they're not quite getting what you're saying? 🤔

Communication with dogs is more than just words! Try using your body language to speak to your furry friend. Approach them with your body angled away and avoid reaching out. Instead, let them come to you when they're ready, and keep your body relaxed and calm. These calming signals will show your pup that you're listening and help them feel safe and understood.

Did you know that Lyme disease-affected pets do not develop the classic bullseye rash seen in humans? In fact, many pets show no signs at all, or their signs are often vague and nonspecific, which sometimes results in an incorrect or delayed diagnosis.

Lyme disease testing (i.e., a blood test) is advised for pets with clinical signs that include fever, lethargy, appetite loss, swollen lymph nodes, intermittent lameness, and painful or swollen joints.

Because Lyme disease signs can come and go or be entirely absent, we recommend dogs be tested annually for tick-borne diseases, which involves a simple blood test similar to their yearly heartworm test. Protect your furry friend from this debilitating condition by contacting us at .
