READ THE ENTIRE AD. DO NOT MESSAGE ME DUMB QUESTIONS ALREADY ANSWERED IN THE POST.

Considering letting this girl go. Will not be negotiable. She can stay, I know her value, I’ve owned this girls mom, uncles, aunts, etc. I know for a fact she has the opportunity to be a BANG UP mare with a lot to grit and cow. Talking about a rope horse prospect that will get you in the money, a ranch horse that will never let you down, a penner/sorter that will get you noticed. My situation has changed and I know I’m gonna regret it but I have to get some s**t sorted in my life and that’s the ONLY reason she’s available.

2 year AQHA filly. Expected to mature about 15-15.2hh. Had a LOT of good handling until a few months ago, she’s pretty much just been kicked out, so she probably needs a little reminder on some things. Halterbroke, easy to catch, leads, loads, picks up feet. She’s been saddled and bridled and takes everything in stride. She hasn’t been rode yet but I don’t think it would take much to get her there. I just have had too many health issues and can’t be fighting with babies right now, I already have too many projects. She moves sound and has a lovely long stride and a lot of athleticism. She needs a job and will make a fabulous broodmare when you’re done riding her. This one’s gonna hurt my heart a lot but I just can’t do what I was doing anymore.

I guess my best friend needed his best friend back. Unexpectedly lost a damn good mare tonight. Sometimes life just won’t quit throwing punches. I definitely regret selling her last filly for damn near nothing now. Dammit.

Who gave her the right to be this damn pretty? 😍

I may seriously be looking to find someone that could come help me get caught up on stuff once or twice a week in exchange for horsemanship lessons? I don’t wanna work nobody to death for nothing I just need a little help that I’m not getting right now. No horse experience necessary, you just can’t be scared of everything, have to have a decent work ethic and be somewhat self driven. I don’t mind teaching people how I want things done I just need some help. Could turn into a paying gig with more hours eventually.

If that’s something someone would be interested in please pm me.

The beginnings of our beloved, incredibly popular American Quarter Horses started with these little cowy, gritty, big b***d, stout footed incredibly intelligent Colonial Spanish Horses. I went back about as “old school” as I could find.❤️ I cannot wait to get some foals by this guy! I’ve got big plans for some of his babies and a few people ready to help me take them places. ❤️🖤❤️

Hopefully be breeding him in 2025!

I didn’t venture as far from my roots as yall might think. 😉🥰

“But the story of the Quarter Horse begins long before Texans started tying their ropes hard and fast to the saddle horn. The origins of the breed can be traced to Colonial America. When our forefathers weren’t dumping tea in the Boston Harbor and fighting Indians or Redcoats, they did enjoy a horse race. In the beginning, they ran the English horses with which they plowed and rode every day.

It wasn’t long before the Colonial farmers down in the Carolinas and Virginia began to trade for a faster horse that was being bred by the Chickasaw Indians. These quick Indian ponies were Spanish Barbs, brought into Florida by early Spanish explorers and colonists. This was the same horse ridden by the conquistador Cortez in the conquest of Mexico; the same that Coronado rode in his search for the golden cities in the American Southwest. This was a type of horse produced from the cross of the North African Barb and native Spanish stock following the Moorish invasion of Spain, which began in the year 710.

There is evidence that the Spanish Barbs obtained from the Chickasaws were crossed with the Colonists’ English stock as early as 1611. Over the next 150 years, the product of this breeding would come to be known as the “Celebrated American Quarter Running Horse.” The term “Quarter” refers to the distance, a quarter of a mile, most commonly run in Colonial racing, often on the main streets of small villages.”

Just for fun, let’s pretend we had no known history or breeding on any horse out there… You are picking completely based off what you can see in the horse only, what are the top traits you’d look for when picking a horse and why?

Let’s discuss but keep it civilized folks… I know how passionate we can be about our horses 🤣❤️

JJ roper, nice saddle. sound and sturdy, all measurements in pics. Clean, well maintained, sits a horse nicely. Located in eastern Oklahoma, will ship at buyers expense.
Could use new conchos and horn wrap, but it’s a very usable saddle, nice saddle.
$1200 or best offer. Honestly this thing won’t fit a thing I’ve got right now because I’ve got tiny short backed ponies and high withered giraffes. 😂😅 I just need new gear and there’s no point in this one laying around getting dirty.

Pics are old and I noticed the seat measurements was wonky, it’s a 14.5-15” I believe. Really nice saddle to ride.
