Just arrived at the rescue and I see I am on my way to a new and exciting future. I am a five year old fellow that has spent a lot of time in a 10 X 10 fence with a dog house. I did get out for a good run each day and went into the garage when it was really cold. I understand I will be going to a groomer this week to get this five years of coat off. As you can imagine I am really enjoying running in the fenced yard.

My evaluation is in progress and please check back to see how I am doing.

Artemus has been ADOPTED.

I am a 1 year old, tri collie fellow that is a ball of energy. I am probably the happiest guy you will ever meet. I was advertised for fee on a website by my person who wasn’t really taken care me. I was covered in fleas so bad that they made a lot of my hair fall out. That is all take care of now and it is starting to grow back. I love playing with the other dogs but a bit to exuberant for most of them. We are working on some self-control. I am crate trained and doing well with the housetraining. Learning basic commands and lose leash walking.

I am a 9 year old collie fellow taken to the shelter with two others because our owner passed away. I have been very well cared for and loved during my years. I am an easy going kind of fellow that needs to lose a few pounds so I am on a diet. I enjoy going for walks and good on the leash. I don’t much pay any attention to the other dogs and don’t need a crate. I will be going to the groomer soon for a much needed bath. I am looking for a permanent foster home. This is where the rescue will pay for my approved medical cost and all you have to do is love me.

I am about a 2 year old, sable collie boy that has been tied to a tree most of my life. Thank goodness the rescue came to get me because that man was going to shoot me between the eyes if they didn’t. I don’t really like the crate but will go in for a hotdog and we are working on that. All these things are new to me and I am a bit cautious at first. I am doing well with the housetraining and pretty good walking on the leash. I get along with the other dogs and love the freedom of the fenced yard. I can be a little shy until I get to know you but love to get pets.

I'm Marloe and I am about a 2 year old, tri collie girl that has been tied to a tree most of my life. My name is Arrow and I am a 9 month old, male, white collie with a sable head. I am at the rescue because my folks are having medical problems. I am doing great with the house training, pretty good on the leash and starting to learn basic commands. I am a bit shy and getting used to so many new things. Because of this I would really like to have another dog to interact with and give me courage. I love children, the other dogs and cats also.

I am a three year old white collie fellow with a tri head that weighs about sixty pounds. I’m here at the rescue because my people moved where they could not have a dog. I am a very good boy that is housetrained, crate trained, good on the leash, rides in the car and know basic commands. I am good with the other dogs and do not mind the cats.

Update 10/8/24: We went to the groomer this week for a bath, massage and brushing. We think we are looking very handsome now and ready for our new home. Dieting is going great and we have lost a few pounds. We are two of the sweetest boys you will ever meet and just want to be by your side.

We are at the rescue because mom has terminal brain cancer and dad had to move to assisted living because of physical limitations. We have been together all our lives and would very much like to stay together. We need to lose a lot of weight and will need someone that will keep us on our diets and help us exercise. Currently we are eating weight management food with green beans. We are housetrained, crate trained but don’t need one, good on leash walks, rides in the car and know basic commands. We are up to date on vaccinations, neutered and will be going to the groomer this week. We are very good, easy going guys that are no trouble at all.

Winston is a 5 year old, 91 pound sable merle who depends on Robbie

Robbie is a 6 year old, 75 pound sable and white.

Update: Permanent Foster has been approved. PERMANENT FOSTER: My name is Aiken and I am a nine year old, blue merle, smooth collie feller at about 65 pounds. I am the most laid back, gentle kind of guy and nothing much bothers me. I don’t even mind the vacuum cleaner and will lay right there in the way and watch you work. I enjoy going for walks and being by your side. I do really like to eat so you have to watch that I don’t get to heavy. I’m just fine with the other dogs and the cat is ok with me. I am looking for a permanent foster home. This is where the rescue pays for all approved medical cost and all you have to do is love me.

I have learned some basic commands like sit, down and stay. I enjoy playing with the other dogs and don’t mind the cat but will chase them if they run.

My name is Nolte and I am a ten month old fellow at about 50 pounds. Holston and I were born on a farm and never really had any training. Since coming to the rescue we are learning many things and starting with leash training. Since we have always used the bathroom outside there are no problems with the house training. With the help of some chicken jerky we have also learned crate training. We get along fine with the other dogs and don’t mind the cats either. Although our training was neglected we are very friendly with people. A very nice man drove us 10 hours to get us to CRC and on our way to a better life.

He is a 50 pound tri color boy. He says: I am at the rescue because my owner didn’t want me anymore. I am housetrained, crate trained, good in the car and on the leash. I am an eight year old fellow at 76 pounds. I guess you know I am on a strict diet to get this extra weight off. I am the sweetest guy that loves to be by your side, go for walks or car rides. I do love a comfy doggie bed to lay on. I have perfect house manners and housetrained. I get along with the other dogs although I don’t really pay much attention to them. The cats are ok with me also. I do walk with a slight limp due to an old leg injury and receive pain pills to help with any discomfort I might have. Getting this extra weight off will really help with that. I am at the rescue because my folks are having financial difficulties.

I am looking for a permanent foster home. This is where the rescue will pay for my approved medical cost and all you have to do is love me.

EDIT: I have been ADOPTED! I am Kaien, a 3 year old collie girl at 50 pounds. I’m at the rescue because my people no longer wanted me and decided to give me away. As a puppy I was a house dog that learned housetraining and crate training. After a while they stuck me outside in the red clay mud with a dog house. Let me just say I am so happy to be here learning manners so I will be ready for my new home. They named me Kaien like the pepper because I was orange from the mud. I had a much needed bath and the first picture is before bathing. I missed out on somethings I should have been taught like stealing from the counter getting in the trash and jumping up. We are working on these, and I am catching on. I am good with the other dogs as long as they stay out of my food and don’t mind the cats. Doing good with leash walking and basic commands. EDIT: I've been adopted. My name is Bronco and I’m a 1 ½ year old collie fellow at about 55 pounds. I lived on four acres but since there was no fence I would sometimes wonder off. My person felt it would be safer for me to find a home with a fenced yard. I am a perfect gentleman on the leash, housetrained and crate trained. I am great with the other dogs and ok with the cats also. I am an easy going, gentle kind of guy that rarely barks. Although I lived on 4 acres I do not like walking in the grass. I will step off the patio into the grass just far enough to do my business then back on the patio. I won’t even follow the other dogs into the grass when we are playing. Don’t try pulling me into the grass because that won’t work either. The rescue folks are not sure why I do not like the grass. I’m a healthy fellow and do not have allergies to the grass.
