Kathleen C Cailloux Humane Society of Kerrville Our Shelter is a no-kill facility, so many times we are full and cannot accept new animals. Viewing of our animals by appointment only presently.

We hope this website will help you in finding your next faithful companion.Please remember we cannot accept strays-they must go to animal control first. Call 830-367-7722 and leave your number and we will return call and make appointment with you to visit shelter.

We are looking for one full time position Monday - Friday and also a part-time, Sat. Sun and any Holiday 8-11 in the dog section. Applications will be taken at the shelter Mon- Fri. 10-noon and 1-4.

It will not be long before the fireworks start. With all the surrenders and strays that animal control has had, this will only add to their capacity. PLEASE secure your animals and make sure they are safe. Every year we are overwhelmed with dogs and cats that have escaped due to the sounds and some are never found. If you love your fur-family, keep them inside, it is only for a couple days. They deserve no less. We wish you a very happy, healthy 2025.

This is Lacie - she is almost 6 years old. Yes, she is a large dog, super smart as you can tell and loves people and is a lap dog. SO, I ask, why is she still here- just because she is a large dog we think. Lacie is so smart and much of this is because we have great employees who work with them. Go see Lacie, you will fall in love. Video by Makenzie who works "really" hard with them. TURN ON SOUND
