We crated Jolene for the sole purpose of taking this video. In the video are Fancy, EmmyLou and their dad, Cash.

Edit: The smooth coat is Cash, he's the father to the two girls that are LH in the video.

Fancy has an almost black back, the other is EmmyLou.

After some long and hard decisions, we are slowly going to start the process of closing DoRe Kennels.

We will have retired Bassets (2 males, 1 black and white and 1 euro import) 3 French Bulldogs and several Miniature Dachshunds.

For anyone who may have tried to access our website recently, you may have received an error. Our domain had expired, and we didn't get a notification to renew it. It's been corrected now (and thankfully our domain was still available!).

We've been working on updating our site over the last week or so. It's definitely a work in progress, but take a look and let us know what you think. We would appreciate any and all constructive feedback.

Here at DoRe Kennels, we care deeply for the welfare and care of our dogs, and future puppies. We started out with a Komondor, we now have Great Danes (pets), French Bulldogs, Miniature Dachshunds and Basset Hounds.

The 2 Frenchie puppies had their puppy check up and first vaccinations today! They did great. The blue is a boy, the black brindle is a girl.
We’ve named the boy, Tater.
We’ve named the girl, Tot.

We had the mini puppies for their first vet visit today! They all did great! Someone got the “hurumphs “ on the way to the vet, other than that they were great! The vet and vet tech commented on how personable they are!

If you are a Dachshund breeder, you can skip this :-)

There's a person commenting on color on the newest videos of our most current mini litter. The person is NOT incorrect, however we tend to have 95% of our minis go to pet homes. Most families that get a mini from us do not give two hoots about color. Most families are looking for one of two things, s*x and coat...that's it, it's really that simple.

So when we put the coat color as "tricolor" we are including the black, tan and white as the "tricolor." What most people do not realize is that the white in most of our puppies comes from being piebald; piebald is a pattern and NOT a color.

So the person commenting, multiple times, about the color is correct...they didn't need to do this, they chose to be a keyboard corrector :-). We know the correct colors and patterns of our dogs.

Again, most families that get mini pups from us honestly don't care. Most families will see the "tricolor" and think, "Oh, black, tan and white." Without a second thought of, "OH, they meant piebald and NOT white."

I can't believe I need to explain this on OUR page, but here I sit, typing this to let everyone know this little tidbit of knowledge.

So, was the Keyboard Karen correct, yes. Did the Keyboard Karen need to say anything beside, "Oh cute puppers!" No, no she didn't. Did I need to respond, heck yes I did.

So, in conclusion, if you see a mini puppy from us that is listed as "Tricolor" please know that WE are using the term to include the PATTERN of piebald (the white) as part of "tricolor," is this correct..not really...are we trying to mislead or otherwise lie to anyone, no. Do any of you really care, you can comment below if you would like to?

Very quick update video for Zelda’s two potatoes! Blue pied boy and a black pied girl. The Frenchie puppies and mom are doing great😊

We will be taking individual puppy pictures this weekend.

Zelda had a total of 4 puppies. Two of the puppies passed, the remaining two puppies are a boy and a girl. Both puppies are pied. We will get around to taking pictures in the next few days/week or so.

We will also be posting pictures of Lynn, our mini mom, and her puppies here in a bit. She and her three little ones are all doing well!

Zelda, our French bulldog mom, will be going for progesterone tests starting the 22nd of this month, her pregnancy is confirmed. Ultrasound and x ray confirm at least 3 puppies 😊

Miniature dachshunds: Maokai is 4 weeks old, and is a Cash x Reba puppy. He’s a tricolor piebald and will be lh. NuNu is a Black and Tan smooth girl. We kept her 2 sisters back. She’s 4 months old. She’s actively looking for a new lap 😊
French bulldogs: we have Galinda, she’s a chocolate brindle pied ( Aya, coco, nkb, ss). Her brother Fyerro is a blue pied ( a, chocolate, 1 copy of brindle) he’s a tall boy, he would make a great pet! Both French bulldogs are fully vaccinated, including rabies, and are on heart guard and nexguard.

Edit***NuNu is also full vaccinated, including rabies :-)

We will be posting updated puppy pictures and general updates soon. Reba, our one mini mom, had a singleton puppy. He's a tricolored piebald boy. He and mom and doing great!

Someone, me, left their phone (which has all pictures, and takes all pictures for puppy content) on the front seat of a vehicle...with blaring hot sun. Said phone didn't like that, so I've been sans phone for a week.

The silver lining, phone insurance, so I'll be getting a replacement in the next day or so.
