Thank you all for the fencing panel money. Meet the Gotham boys! These boys were in a tough situation with the threat of being auctioned off if not removed from property along with 50 other pigs. These boys need good nutrition and to be neutered. They look a little rough partly due to having poor nutrition, not being neutered and poor living conditions. We look forward to their transformation.

We’ve been getting messages how we are with the big storm. We want to let everyone known we are all safe! So blessed with this new property that does not flood and leave our animals is lots of mud. We had no damage. Prayers to those who have been impacted by this big storm.

Bindi Update!!

She is doing great! She went from deaths doorstep to a happy kitten who’s now almost healthy and wanting to play like a kitten. She has gained a pound since her rescue. She’s still thin but does not look like a walking skeleton. She has such bright eyes now so full of life and purs the minute she sees you 💕.

Kitten Update!

This sweet girl is a survivor and has a will to live. We have decided to name her Bindi. She has started to eat on her own 💕 She is moving more. Eyes are brighter and she’s put on 5 oz. We know we have a long ways to go. She seems to have a pressure sore on one of her back joints because she’s so boney. I have wrapped it lightly to provide it with some protection. I hope it helps.

While feeding my husband noticed all the pigs in one one upset and running around oddly about something so he went to go look as we do have snakes 🐍 on the property. He found this very sick emaciated kitten with matted eyes caked with sand. He scooped her up cleaned her up and I took her to the vet. Sadly she is in rough shape and only weighs 1lb 5oz at approximately 10-12 weeks which is about a 1/3 of what she should be. She looks and feels like a skeleton. She has an upper respiratory infection, her eyes are matted and has worms. She going to require some intensive care over the next several days. If anyone wishes to help towards her bill please let us know. Her Vet bill today was $188 and will need additional care.

Maple has a friend!! This is Holyfield. He was picked up as a stray from animal control and had been attacked by dogs. He has such a sweet temperament like Maple. Maple has put on weight and looks fabulous!

Cupcake update.
Well miss cupcake escaped her pen and wandered the property for a few days 🤦‍♀️. Don’t worry the perimeter is fenced! Well I caught her today and she is mad at me 🤣. Tried talking to her and she just growled at me 🤷‍♀️.

Cupcake is doing well. She almost took a treat from me all the while telling me just how much she didn’t not trust me. She did eat the treats when I set them down and let me sit by her outside her pen. She still won’t let hubby near her stays on other side of pen. But it’s progress.

Cupcake update. She unfortunately has been very mistreated and does not like men 😭. This is her when my husband checked on her before we put her in her pen. We hope with a little time she will realize she is safe and trust again. Time will tell. We just keep telling her she’s now safe 💕

Mahrya, Gunner and Teagan are the family who set out to save this girl we rescued today. She contacted at least 10 rescues to try and get her rescued. This potentially could be a difficult rescue given this pig has been running the neighborhood and not contained in a fenced area. We could not have done this without their help and the help of our friends Patrice Mayberry and Lee Mayberry. We fortunately we able to get her in the trailer on the second try which we were very grateful for. Unfortunately the people where she stayed were not the kindest towards this pig and poor Teegan saw some treatment towards the pig that wasn’t the kindest and upset her. We let her know that she was now safe and wouldn’t have to endure anymore unkind behavior. How this sweet little girl cared about this pig was so pure and heartwarming. She wanted to name her. Welcome Miss Cupcake 💕. We will update more tomorrow after Cupcake has a little time to decompress tonight.

Look at all these sweet babies. New property did well with big storm no damage. Pigs thought it was great all the holes they dug filled automatically with water. We are excited by no lingering mud for weeks. Maple is doing great! That’s Buddy, the piglets and Benjamin who is a naughty boy but a big love.
