Specializing in young and difficult horses, Danny believes there is a program for every horse and is passionate about finding purpose for difficult horses. Danny thrives on unlocking the potential of the horses in her care and also enjoys working with riders to expand their knowledge and achieve that ‘ah ha’ moment. Danny’s love of horses started at age 5 with her also 5 year old half broke pony w

ho managed to dump her daily for their entire first year. She began her show career in Texas riding with Debbie Divechia at Windswept Farm and later continued her development with Mike McCormick at MTM Farm. Upon relocating to Virginia Danny rode with 5-time Olympian Manuel Torres. Danny then moved to Sandra Ruiz at Sanmar Farm at age 16 where she finished up her junior years and began her professional career. As the pro rider for Sanmar, Danny developed young horses, improved ridability in client horses, competed top horses up to Grand Prix and helped develop riders on their own mounts to achieve success in the show ring. A few of Danny’s riding accomplishments include:
- Competed in her first Grand Prix at age 14
- Zone 3 Young Riders Team
- Zone 3 Prix De States Team
- Competed in all Equitation Finals
- Won 6 Hunters Prix
- JR/Am Hunter Derby winner Loudoun Benefit Horse Show
- 2017 Frances Newbill Rowe Trophy for Horsemanship and Sportsmanship
- Owner and rider of 2017 USEF Horse of the Year, Ronaldo, with 14 classic wins and 11 championships
- Multiple placings in national Grands Prix
- 2021 3rd place finish in the 1.50m Grand Prix at HITS Saugerties

Some recent training accomplishments include:
- 2018 & 2019 Zone 3 year end Champion in the NAYJPD on sales horses who have gone on to successful careers in their new homes
- Trained Jr. Hunters in 2021 and qualified for the 2021 3'3 Junior Hunter Finals. rider is already qualified for the 3'6 Jr. Hunter finals in 2022.
- Coached the 2021 VHSA Jr. Eq on the Flat Champion to her year end win and a 3rd place result in the AYR Equitation Challenge. Danny is currently the rider and trainer for Joe Melnick’s breeding operation, Clarion Farm where she handles the young stock from their first training under saddle to their young horse education in the show ring. Danny’s new business, Firefly Sporthorses, is a competitive show barn that is accepting horses for training and sales as well as clients who would like to compete with their own mounts on the national show circuit.

Larry is a 7yo, 16.3H, very competitive child/adult jumper who can solidly move up to the junior/amateurs. Larry has competed up to the 1.30m 7yo classes this fall. This great horse has no stop, brave, wants to leave the jumps up, and can turn on a dime. He is a solid citizen and a great doer with a big heart. He has competed at some of the biggest venues and goes around any ring with the wildest fill and bluest liverpools. Nena is extremely well bred with many top performance horses in her pedigree. She moves well, jumps fantastic, and has a good disposition. Nena has already produced a top c**t who we will be standing to a couple of our mares in 2025 and will be presenting at the stallion approvals in 2026 in hopes of becoming a licensed/approved stallion for breeding.
Nena’s sire, I’m special de Muze won the sires in Den Bosch with Zoi Snels, the 1.50m class in Neumunster, and 9th in the 3* GP in Herning. I’m special de Muze is known for his very competitive young stock often topping the young horse classes.

Nena also has a fantastic mare line to not be looked over. Sheraton was approved as a stallion by KWPN AS a 3yo with, an unheard of, perfect score of 10/10!
He has always been ridden and competed in a simple snaffle and sought after for his ride-ability.
Sheraton has several remarkable achievements in his career including 2nd in the 4* (1.55m) GP in Boras, 2nd in the 4* GP (1.55m) in Kungsbacka, and the WINNER of Halmstad GP.

Sire: Chaccomo W, Bay, 17h
This sire has competed up to the the 6yo young horse classes before his career was unfortunately cut short due to an injury due to no fault of his own. Chaccomo W has produced top horses in the sport including a 1.50m jumper.
He passes down his remarkably easy going disposition, athletic qualities, and great work ethic.
With Chaccomo’s sire being the #1 stallion in the world, Chacco Blue was recognized for producing the best performance offspring jumping 1.50m or higher in 2023.
Chaccomo W has several top siblings including Explosion W, winning over 3 million euros in his career. As well as Chaqui Z and Blue Movie winning over 1 million euros in their careers.
It doesn’t end there, Chaccomo Ws dam’s sire is Rio Grande. This sire was well recognized while jumping the 1.60m height, while being the sire of multiple World Cup jumpers, qualifying for the 1996 Olympic Games, and even being named the best hunter sire by USEF in 2005.

The pedigree between these two horses is hard to find. These two pedigrees are full of some of the best stallions in the world; including the #1 stallion in the world, and full of top performance horses. We think this is a lovely match to show great promise in future competition.

The foal will be inspected/papered/branded/passported Wesfalen Warmblood.

C**t only option could be available if desired.
Would also consider a two for one deal (mare and foal) or even a three for one deal (mare in foal with foal on side) bred back to the stallion of your choice if she foals out with me.

Congratulation to Becky Smith and both her horses giving spectacular rounds all week at Upperville Horse show! After jumping clean rounds on both Larcis and Ferno, Becky and Ferno topped it off with a 7th place finish out of 45+ competitors in the 1.15m classic.

What a fun classic day for Rebecca Forbes Smith and her two horses in the 1.15m amateur classic.
Becky rode like a queen with some slick turning and burning to end up 2nd on Ferno Van De Hermitage.
On her young horse (an original Clarion Farm homebred) Larcis Ducasse Clarion, this pair stepped up to the plate with ease to bring home the 8th place finish with an unlucky rail early in the course.
What an exciting finish to a great two weeks!

🤩🤩Ashley DeWoolfson and “Uno Mas” kicking us off to a great start here in Ocala.
Straight from the amateur jumper ring and into the amatuer hunter ring for these two. Keep an eye out for this impressive pair in both national and international derbies to this circuit!

“Uno Mas” is a 9yo Numero Uno x Voltaire gelding. Schooled up to 1.45m, filled eq classes, done national hunter derbys, and now tried his hand in the amateur hunters. He canters around all three rings with his eyes closed. As quiet as they come with no prep (spur and whip ride), good lead changer, and easy-anyone can ride type.
Contact Danny to come sit on him in Ocala until February 26th.

I want to thank each and every one of you guys who have reached out during this time. After literal blood, sweat, and tears the time has come to take a deep breath and count our blessings to have found ourselves apart of such an amazing horse community. When something tragic happens, it’s amazing how the horse community comes together to find a solution. So thank YOU! Firstly, thank you Dr. Kramer and Dr. Jones for keeping Beauty as comfortable as possible in her final moments and helping us around the clock to ensure the best possible outcome for Birdie. RIP Beauty. These horses can fill your heart with love and joy, but take a part of it when it’s there time to go. Despite Beauty no longer being with us, we know she was watching Birdie from above and pushing for her to continue fighting. Thank you Piper, Harper, and Courtney Harris for being the first ones to be here in Birdies hardest moments, after just watching her come into the world two weeks prior. Thank you Liv Lapanta for all you do and you continued help through the entirety of Birdies come back. But thank you the MOST to Kat. The sweetest, kindest, most amazing 22yo old mare, scooping Birdie up as soon as she laid eyes on her. Stacey Washington, thank you for trusting us with Kat and allowing her to become a part of our family during this time. This wouldn’t have been possible without you and Kat being so generous to us. And lastly thank you Yoders Country Store and Steven for allowing us to take on your precious goats that have been keeping Birdie nourished while Kat came into milk.
