This week's exercise to work on is Backing Up. Pepper is working on her backing skills and is still a little tentative but does stay relatively straight. This skill is handy for getting out of tight spaces and increasing general maneuverability. Some horses can experience pain if they have issues with their back and hindquarters so make sure to listen if they seem to be having difficulty.
