Jack’s easygoing nature allows him to get along wonderfully with other dogs, cats, and children, making him a great fit for any family. FOSTER NEEDED

Poodle Mix Mama & 6 Puppies

We need a foster that can keep mom and babies together for at least a couple weeks and then we can send puppies off to fosters in pairs. Puppies are about 4 weeks old now. They’re currently sitting in boarding and we’d like to move them into a home asap!

Meet Sammy!

Sammy is a female husky mix pup, about 5 months old. She’s a very shy girl but has been warming up nicely at her foster home. She’s spent most of her puppy life in a boarding kennel, so she’s learning the ropes of being a house dog.

She gets along well with other dogs and is so neutral to cats so far. She’s being crate trained, potty trained and working on house manners. She rides great in the car and walks nicely on a leash.

Whoever adopts Sammy will need to be patient with her as she warms up to you. She’s a bit shy when you first meet her but she’s very sweet once she opens up. She will make a great hiking and adventure dog!

Walter is looking for an adopter for Christmas!

Here’s what his foster says about him:

He is perfect, he is well mannered and a gentle soul. He bonds to his people and wants to be around them all the time. He is perfect off leash on walks and great with other dogs. He has some stranger danger fear but I think with some exposure he will learn not to fear (there isn’t really a rhyme or reason to what he gets scared of). He sleeps through the night and also does great in a crate.

Fendi is looking for foster or forever home. He is currently in boarding in Boise.

Here is what our volunteer who has spent the most time working Fendi had to say about him:

Fendi is super sweet and eager to please. He is gentle taking treats and he will sit nicely while he waits. He plays in the room and is one of the most well-behaved dogs in the playroom. Fendi does well with dogs of all sizes. He has learned to walk well on a leash and has learned a few commands. He is amazing with humans of all sizes, too. Fendi rides well in a vehicle and with other dogs in the car with him. He is very affectionate and loving.

Fendi seems a little too interested in cats so we recommend he goes to a home without small animals.

Meet Heidi!

She’s a mixed breed female about 6 months old.

Here’s what her foster has to say about her so far:
She is beyond sweet and super affectionate and gives lots of kisses. She is active and would do well with an adventure person. She might be too much for small kids (because she is very squirmy), however she may calm down once she is secure in her new home. No aggression at all, but she does chase the cats. I do not think she is being mean, just being a puppy who sees something new. She does not currently know any commands. She seems potty trained, no accidents, but I take her out every few hours. She is very snuggly and loves to be on the bed. Lots of energy. Does not like the kennel but calms down a lot when she is in it. Whoever adopts her will really need to put in some work to help her be a good and a well behaved companion, but she is a wonderful blank slate and will be an amazing dog.

We’ve raised $453 on our first day of fundraising—what an amazing start! With 11 days left to reach our goal, we’re excited and know we can do this!

Mama and babies are safe!
This sweet doodle and her 6 babies were dumped and living outside for weeks! One of our rescue friends was able to trap mom (who is no longer terrified and is a total sweet heart) and round up the pups. They are finally resting in a warm place with full bellies.
Pups are about 4-5 weeks and will be looking for fosters soon!

We still need two fosters in the Boise area. Please share and help us get these babies placed. They were scheduled to be euthanized yesterday and are coming to Boise today with no where to go…

This month, we’ve welcomed three litters of puppies and their moms, bringing our total to 20 precious dogs in need of love, care, and support. It’s a big undertaking, but these pups deserve every chance at a healthy and happy life.

Fosters Needed!

Both of these puppies were going to be euthanized today. We are saving them but we need two fosters to take them in!

We don’t know much about them yet. The black/tan is a female and the white husky is a male. Both are very friendly with people. The female is very playful and loves to play with other dogs. The husky seems to be more interested in people but is fine with other dogs.

Ryder needs a new foster home or adopter asap. He and his brother are butting heads and they need to be separated

Ryder really wants a home before the holidays!

He’s a German Shorthair Pointer mix and is about 4 months old. He’s been in foster with us since September and we’re so surprised he hasn’t been scooped up yet!

He’s crate trained, potty trained, good with cats, kids and knows basic commands.

Foster or Adopter Needed!

Fendi has been with the rescue for nearly a year now 😢

He currently lives in the boarding kennel and we would love for him to have a home with humans to love.
From the volunteers at the kennel:
He is the sweetest boy. He does well with all the dogs he meets. He is gentle taking treats and is very respectful as he sits and waits for his treat. He’s such a loving boy and does well on a leash. Fendi has been in boarding for quite a while and he is invited to all adoption events because he rides well in the car with other dogs and he seems to love everyone he meets.
