‼️URGENT HELP NEEDED ‼️

The Animal Resource Center’s kennels are critically over capacity. As of this morning, we have 108 dogs in our care – the shelter has room to humanely and safely house 80 at any given time. As a result, we are temporarily restricting impoundments to those ordered by a judge or magistrate. Please note, this does not affect our lost and found services, scanning pets for microchips, and/or offering supplies to assist citizens with a dog they have found and are providing temporary shelter while looking for an owner.

If you are in a position to assist, we are in desperate need of adopters, fosters and rescues to help us, help these dogs. Yesterday, 1️⃣2️⃣ dogs left the ARC with their new families -- let's keep it up and find good, loving homes for just as many (if not more!) pups today.

ADOPT – The ARC is located at 6790 Webster St. Dayton, OH 45414 and is open for adoptions weekdays, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Saturdays, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. – no appointment necessary. All adoptions are $20 and include spay/neuter surgery, initial vaccines including rabies, heartworm testing (+ treatment if needed), a current year licenses & microchip, and access to our FREE monthly training classes. FOSTER – Sign up to foster with us at https://mcanimals.org/get-involved/. Make sure to complete the sign-up form, watch our short orientation video (make sure to watch the foster orientation – NOT volunteer!), take the accompanying quiz and then send an email to us at [email protected]. We will be in touch with you to schedule a time to come to the shelter, visit with our dogs and find one that works for you. The ARC provides fosters with food, a crate, and other basic supplies, as well as veterinary care.

DONATE – Right now, we could really use crates/kennels, leashes, collars, food bowls, food, and treats, etc. – the basics!
