The Barred rocks that were chicks in June are growing and doing well. The broilers from June are in the freezer.

New calf this morning when we were on vacation. We got home about 3pm and couldn't find the calf with the mom. Little heifer went under the hot wire fence and was sleeping in a soybean field.

Baby chicks are adorable. 45 meat chicks and 8 Barred rock for future layers. Now if I could convince Tom to raise pigs again I would be a happy farmer.

We never run out of work, even in early spring. Tom and Noah took down a large soft maple tree that was close to our house. I had the tough job of supervising the young farmers.
We are also pruning the orchard getting ready for blossoms in May.
