Telluride a.k.a. "Ghost" Babies are here!!! Out of the darling Memphis Belle! They are very young and too young to bath but here is a sneak peek. Temperament on Ghost is amazing. He is a lover and a gorgeous example of the breed. Not much tearing out of him. Memphis Belle is just that!.. A sweet, charming, beautiful little kitty. Very feminine face. The black & white is a girl and she will have the sweet, feminine face like her mother I think and of course, the lovely temperament. More to come. You will not find a better pedigree. Frog ponds are needed. Almost 4% annual decline in amphibians. Not good at all. Check out what is needed. We are looking into beehives too.

Feline Fact Friday

Early spay/neutering for cats is safe and has health and behavioral benefits.
A 1995 study funded by EveryCat Health Foundation (then Winn Feline Foundation) demonstrated that early spay/neutering was safe and feasible. Many other studies have followed, reinforcing the findings of this study.

Today is World Spay Day-
Animal shelters and rescues are overwhelmed with kittens every spring. These include the unexpected or "accidental" litters, and the leftover kittens that didn't find homes.

Female kittens can reach puberty as early as 4-5 months of age, and there's no way to tell when that first estrus cycle will occur. Research initially conducted in the 1990s (funded by EveryCat Health Foundation) and repeated several times since demonstrated that early spay/neutering before five months of age showed no adverse effect on health or behavior.

Well, I was having a great time at the LCWW Skyway Cat Show in Tampa until my genetic heart defect flared up this morning. The show was way more fun than Urgent Care. Good news though with both! Tugees made all his finals in a very adorable kitten class including 2x 2nd Best on Saturday! I had to absentee Sunday. Thank you, Judges!!! Always fun to see Gigi Guerriero and her cute little Toybobs! I saw 2 breeds I have never seen before... The Toyger and Lykoi. Loved them both. So unusual and very striking! Here are clips and pics. Congratulations to all. It was a very competitive show in a great venue with high-quality kitties and a big variety of breeds. I was impressed! As for my health, no more pushing myself too hard without proper sleep and hydration. And big thanks to Katrina Sortino for helping me with the kitties!!!
