Spooky season is upon us! The fleas our out and about and they can be terrifying for you and your critter. Fall time especially is a time to be on the lookout for them as they can double compared to springtime. As the temperatures will eventually continue to fall and increased precipitation, will help create the ideal environment for fleas to reproduce and favorable conditions for their development. It can take MONTHS to fully get rid of them pesky parasites due to their long lifecycle. Flea eggs can fall off your animal and can then hatch into larvae, where they can form a cocoon and become pupae. They then can remain undisturbed for months in its dark, warm environment, such as your carpet. Flea infestations can lead to hair loss, tapeworm infections, skin infections, and sometimes with heavy flea infestations, can lead to anemia. Prevention is the best all year around not just during “summertime”. So don’t let fleas creep out and ruin your autumn, give us a call today to help you find the best option for your pet. And as an added bonus, fall in love with the deals that come with them!
