So I am starting a discussion about kennel names and naming puppies. Seems there is rules in the horse world about kennel names and wondering if this applies to the dog world. If I have a litter of puppies and I own the female, then the litter is "SheepCreek" a name registered with AKC that can not be used by anyone other than me. It is a courtesy to include any other breeders registered names on the registration and has to be approved to be used. If I use a male from a well know breeder then it's up to me as the owner of the bitch to decide if I use the Kennel name on any of the puppies. IF one is going to the stud dog owners I would certainly used their kennel name on the end of the name. IE. SheepCreek Stomp the Competition at Moreno....which means this dog would be living with Olga Leydan and at her Kennel. IF I was keeping a pick puppy bitch and I thought I would use the marketing to include their kennel name to one I am keeping ie.. "SheepCreek Stomp the Competition of Moreno"....because the male is of the Morena stock. IF the bitch is co owned with Olga and we agree to have both mine and her kennel names on the puppies...ie. SheepCreek Moreno Stomp The Competition. If i sell a puppy to a breeder and choose to be put the kennel name onto the papers of the puppy of rhe puppy has never been shown or no points.. ie... Sheep Creek Stomp the Competition changed to Sheep Creek STC at Moreno. If i am crazy and want to include them all. Sheep Creek Moreno STC of Moreno at Moreno....LMAO...Pic is for attention

In 1958 AKC registered 1180 Kerrys. In 2022 they registered 143. Where are we going with the Breed? Are the directions we are taking as breeders working against us?

I have a sweet spayed Kerry girl that is up for adoption. She has to go to a no other dog, no cat home. She is SUPER sweet with children and family. House trained in all ways. She has a long life ahead of her for the right family.
