Yesterday, the Labrador community lost an amazing friend. Tina Donahue of Quail Chase Labradors left this world quietly in her sleep after a long battle with cancer.

Tina touched many of our lives. Her quiet grace, her friendly smile, her willingness to “talk dog,” her welcoming nature to newbies, and her unending knowledge about the labrador can’t be replaced.

Duke and Tina have left a lasting mark on our breed with their beautiful dogs and their unending knowledge. Most of us lost a dear friend, and our hearts are broken.

Rest in peace, Tina. You were loved, admired, respected, and will be truly missed.

It’s so much fun being able to find something you truly love. Being able to share that with the people you love is the 🍒 on top.

Yesterday, members of my dog club www.PRLRC.com did a demo at the North Stonington, agricultural fair to help educate people on our labrador breed. It was so much fun being with the dogs and Wren had a blast meeting all the people.

Happy Birthday to Nola Jean and her littermate who turned ONE back on, June 28th.
Nola, I’ve said it before, and I will say it again, you are the dog that I want by my side for the rest of my life. In my eyes, you’re perfect in every way, even when you’re naughty 👿. Thank you for being there to heal my broken heart when your Mom passed away. I can’t wait to see what adventures life gives us over the next 15+ years.

Lavender Fields, you were a daughter, a mother, a sister, and my best friend. Even though our time was short, it was packed full of amazing memories. I never went anywhere without you by my side (not even the bathroom). You knew you were sick long before I did. That is why you gave me Nola Jean to take your spot.

I know you’ll always be in the flower bushes looking over us. 💜

Meadow absolutely loves her granddaughter (Wren). I always find it interesting how dogs bond with one another. Wren has definitely peaked Meadows spirit.
