Starting our Twelve Days of Christmas- each day a post of one of our wonderful pets for adoption! It's lovely for a pet to be in a home for the holidays, but enough ahead of time before the big days that they can get settled in. Aaliyah is under a year, 10 months old or so and what a lovely girl! Aaliya learns quickly, is smart and playful. She seems to like other kitties and, oh, does she love attention from her favorite humans. She is a cuddlebug and will be delighted to have a cozy home and loving lap. Aaliyah has been spayed through the generosity of Animal Welfare League of the Northern Neck . 📍 Last seen: Sunday, December 1st, in the Knights Landing area of Heathsville, near the Lancaster line.

Cream-colored Maine Coon/Tabby mix
Weighs about 6 pounds
Bright green eyes
Super friendly and loves people!

Buddha is likely to approach strangers, so if you've seen him or taken him in, please help him find his way home.

HAPPY UPDATE: STELLA HAS BEEN ADOPTED!! MANY THANKS TO THE ADOPTER. HAVE A LOVELY LIFE WITH STELLA. Our Stella- energetic, fun and full of pizzazz.She is 48 gorgeous pounds and about three years old. Thank you to Ann DeMuth Rescue Dog Photography for the beautiful photo and to Animal Welfare League of the Northern Neck for her spay! Stella is in search of her forever home as she nears the end of her heartworm treatments. Stella was heartworm positive when she arrived at the shelter. Through your generous donations, community fun raisers and proceeds from the F.N.C A.S Thrift Shop Stella is being treated for heartworm. Many thanks to all of you. During heartworm treatments dogs are limited to leash walks only. This has put quite a crimp on Stella's preference for an active lifestyle. She will be so happy to run, play and learn new things again! Stella is looking for a human love match who will appreciate her big personality and zest for life.

Peter Pan is 6 months old and is scheduled to be neutered through the generosity of Animal Welfare League of the Northern Neck Like the fictional character, Peter Pan is a happy, playful boy. This real life Peter Pan will grow up and he will be thrilled to do it in a loving home with his own very best human!

Urge Virginia Farm Museum to Cancel Cruel Hunting Event!

Countless wild animals suffer and die due to inhumane predator plowing—a brutal practice targeting coyotes, foxes, and other animals with cruel and indiscriminate methods. This not only threatens wildlife but also poses risks to pets and humans.

Ask about Arbor and be prepared for accolades!. This handsome 8 month old has a fabulous personality. He is engaged and fun in the play room, enjoying all the interaction. HAPPY UPDATE: MR. THOMAS HAS BEEN ADOPTED!! MANY THANKS TO THE ADOPTER. WISHING YOU MUCH JOY WITH MR. THOMAS. Mr. Thomas has learned his brothers, Mr. Tobias and Mr. Sox, have been adopted- together! Although happy for them, Mr. Thomas must admit he feels he is every bit as cute as his siblings. Perhaps it was time for a new photo! Mr. Thomas put in his request and one of our wonderful volunteers, Stacey, caught this shot of Mr. Thomas in his regal, handsome pose. Mr. Thomas is 12 weeks old, playful with a sweet temperament. Mr. Thomas is an observant little fellow, some would say nosy. He loves to watch all the goings on around him. If you are considering adopting two kitties, Mr. Thomas has a condo roommate, Burrito, and they are best buddies. 🐾 July-September Donations: Your Generosity is Saving Lives! 🐾

A huge thank you to our community for your incredible support! Over the past three months, we've made significant strides in helping animals, and it's all because of you!

Here's what your donations made possible from July to September:

🍲 8,653 lbs of pet food were donated through our Feed Me, Too! Program, helping pets in need across the Northern Neck.

🐱🐶 243 cats and dogs were spayed and neutered (175 cats and 68 dogs), with 107 shelter-related animals receiving care, preventing overpopulation and ensuring healthier futures.

💉 Total Vet Bills: $43,923.33

$28,766.82 went towards spay and neuter procedures
$15,156.51 was used for vaccinations, emergency care, foster care, treatment for sick or injured animals, and even an amputation to save a life.

Your support is transforming the lives of these animals, and we couldn’t do it without you! 💙
