‼️Help needed ‼️$10 adoption fees for dogs over 40lbs and rescue incentives for rescues‼️

We have taken in 367 animals in the last week, 139 of those were dogs🐶 making us beyond full with dogs in crates in multiple rooms. 10 dogs are Timestamped, meaning they are scheduled to be euthanized by a certain time if they do not find placement with rescue or an adopter (some are also available for foster through ACCT!). 9 of those dogs are timestamped for no other reason than that they have been here the longest (a few weeks) and lack of space for incoming dogs. 😞We know this is hard to hear, but it's an even more difficult reality for the dogs, our staff and our volunteers.

We want every adoptable dog to find placement. We continue to try to support owners in keeping their pets, having our officers return pets in the field 🚓and more, but with an average of 20 dogs coming in each day running out of space means we exceed our capacity for caring for the 130+ dogs and 150+ cats 🐱in the shelter. We will become more crowded, resulting in more dogs getting sick and developing behavioral issues due to lack of space, resulting in difficult decisions. We need your help so they have the best chance at a loving home.🏡

That's why with animals continuing to come in, we need your help:
👉🏼Reclaiming your pet: If we've called you because we have your pet, PLEASE respond. If you cannot reclaim your pet, we understand (though have resources to help!) but not knowing means the dog sits there when they could be leaving with a rescue or adopter if not with you.
🐾Adopt: We're doing $10 adoptions for all dogs over 40lbs through Sunday November 24th! This includes for dogs in foster care so that you can help free up space for a new foster! Our ability to extend dogs who are time stamped depends so much on space, and so whether or not you adopt a timestamped dog, you're still saving a life by freeing up a kennel! We're open 10-6pm daily, no appointments needed!

♥️Foster: We're looking for both long term and short term fosters for large dogs! Especially with the holidays, we need people to foster large dogs in while their foster parents are away for the holidays so they don't come back to the shelter. https://bit.ly/4fRQlWx
🐾Rescue: Thanks to an anonymous donor, we're offering generous rescue incentives of $750 for every dog over 40lbs that is picked up by the end of the day on Tuesday, and an additional $500 if a group takes two or more dogs over 40lbs. Horse showing isn't just for the kids! Saturday, September 14, the Over the Hill Horse Show for riders 19-99 is back at the Romano 4-H Center in Honeybrook. Formal show attire NOT required. This is a fun show with both western and English classes including adult leadline and trail. Prizes for division winners, happy riders, and Really Ancient Combo. Perfect for green horses and riders, those who haven't been out in awhile, and those looking to get together with other adult riders.
The Over the Hill Horse Show is a fund-raiser for the Northern Chester County 4-H Club.

Can you seriously believe this beautiful 17-week old puppy is still here Diane's Pet Supplies & Adoption Center looking for her new family? We can’t😩. Bella is searching for her furever family. ❤️❤️❤️❤️.

Bella 🌷is a 17-week old black Lab southern Mix puppy. She is made up of wishes and magical things. She and her sister Birdy have won the hearts of everyone lucky enough to spend time with them. ❤️. This girl’s beauty inside and out is more beautiful than any flower. She is super friendly but had a hard start in life - her and her siblings were found in a very rural area of Georgia in a ditch left without their momma. They were rescued by and transported north to Diane's Pet Supplies & Adoption Center.

We always say, it Takes a Village to help these orphans. 🙏🏻. After her horrible start in life, Bella deserves to be treated like royalty and be shown kindness and love for the rest of her precious life. She is a sweetheart, good with other dogs, and she’ll make you feel good for days just being in her presence.

This is how reliable we are at Kimberton Critter Care. We waited until after 8pm and threat of lightning had passed, went to our clients who are out of power and we turned out their beloved horses and mucked the stalls by flashlights!

Patches urgently needs a home. 💔

This sweet pup is often overlooked by potential adopters, but it is urgent that she finds a place outside of the shelter to rest her head.

Patches suffers from food allergies that can make her skin flare red and itchy. While this can be very easily managed in a home, it is a bit more difficult in shelter, as she can find fallen treats and other food items she should not have more readily.

But despite her allergies, Patches is still the most loving and grateful dog. She was rescued by our Animal Law Enforcement team last year, but her spirit has never dulled. She adores being with people, exploring new things, and working on new tricks.

As more days pass, it's heartbreaking to see this sweet girl miss out on the love, stability, and companionship she so desperately craves.
