Me and One Eskimo today. He's a 3 year old gelding by Discreet Cat. My first time on one of the race horses since before I broke my foot in March. Doug told me to go slow! Maybe not this slow though...
A short little video of Doug galloping on the turf this morning with our 3 year old filly, Jewelry Box, by Hold Me Back. She should be racing soon!
Sharon Gunther (4 yr old filly by Munnings) on the inside, working four furlongs at Fair Hill this morning. Jewelry Box, a 3 yr old filly by Hold Me Back, is on the outside. We are very pleased with how these two are going. Sharon is ready to race and Jewel is not far behind! Stay tuned!
Girls just want to have fun! Our three NY bred yearling fillies by Desert Party, Frost Giant and Here Comes Ben are enjoying a day without rain for a change!
Curious Jones (4 yr old gelding by Smarty Jones out of Eye Appeal by Cat Thief) in the lead with Jewelry Box (3 yr old filly by Hold Me Back out of Summerchance by American Chance) two minute licking up the spring house gallop this morning. (Translation for our non race horse friends - a 2 minute lick is going at a pace of a two minute mile, or 15 seconds a furlong.). Enjoy your weekend all!
Curious Jones, a 4 yr old gelding by Smarty Jones out of Eye Appeal by Cat Thief on the inside and Jewelry Box, a 3 yr old filly by Hold Me Back out of Summerchance by American Chance on the outside, finishing their 3 furlong work Sunday morning at Penn National. It's so exciting watching these two progress!
Love You Truly, heading towards the uphill turf gallop on the farm yesterday.
Here is Sharon Gunther, finishing her five furlong work yesterday at Penn National. Looking strong!
