His legacy continues as his family land is used to provide sanctuary to the many horses, mules, and donkeys who call Greeno Equine Sanctuary home. A photo of Zeke and Al from last night as we prepared the sanctuary for Francine’s visit. We are not expecting much in the way of wind and rain, but we plan for the worst and hope for the best.

Prayers for those along the gulf coast that have a difficult 48 hours ahead.

If we lose power we won’t be able to post, the cell tower doesn’t have generators. We will update everyone when we can.

Oh how we will all miss this beautiful voice 💔🌈💔 Rest easy our friend.

❤️Saint ❤️. This guy right here has had a tough few months. He took Wrangler and Hammer’s death as hard as we did. You’d swear he went on a hunger strike, losing so weight and that sparkle in his eyes. We changed his grouping, his diet, and gave him as much attention as we could. Well he’s back…he’s got a new best friend in Koko and as you can see here, he’s back to running around. He still needs some more weight, but our hearts leapt when we saw him start cutting up with the others ❤️🐴❤️🐴❤️

❤️ Happy Anniversary ❤️ this one breaks our heart a little. Our sweet Poppy arriving off the trailer one year ago. She was the first to truly give us a chance. We know she was happy with her time, she showed us that through her affection toward us and the others here at the sanctuary.
